”The hotel is beautiful. The room I was in was spacious with a great shower! Spotless too. The whole hotel is bright and airy and the owner and husband very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great as was an evening meal. I can’t fault it. In fact, it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Pretty garden too with ample parking close to the city centre which is lovely. I’ll be back! ”

We made a reservation for the underground parking at the hotel and for the first time of our lives, we had to use a car lift. That was a very exciting moment. The underground parking requires some good parking skills, which my husband luckily has.”

There was a problem somewhere, so I spent the afternoon of our arrival calling different numbers trying to get our entrance code, and in the midst of it, I stupidly paid an odd extra charge that still hasn't been cleared up with the hotel. ”This is a stunner of a hotel right on the shore in Dunkirk. Lovely room and bar/lobby. Because we were on a roadtrip for F1 we had a car which was accommodated by the parking lot. (We had a Volvo XC60, and it was a bit of a squeeze even though not full, so best if you have a smaller car to maneuver.) Nothing but positive feedback and highly recommend staying at the Merveilleux. ”
