Rankovice is a small village that belongs to the town of Teplá in the Cheb district; it is located 3.5 km from Teplá and about 15 minutes from Mariánské Lázně. About ten people live here. The road ends in the village—there is no through traffic. Peace, quiet, and birdsong.

The surrounding landscape is charming, gently rolling at about 700 m above sea level, perfect for walks, hikes, and bike rides. The village itself feels like an open-air museum from the 1960s—as if time had stood still.
