”Great location. Lovely rooms as I’ve stayed in the hotel many times. Comfortable and clean. Gorgeous toiletries to use. Small car park but parking near by if you can’t park at the hotel but I’ve only had this issue once or twice. Highly recommended hotel”

”Staying on db&b basis for one night to break a journey, my expectations were not high. However I was wrong! The very ancient pub is just by the Abbey and it is welcoming and our room was very clean if a bit dated. Bath & shower worked well (loads of VERY hot water!) and the bed was comfy. Electrical points in odd spots, but probably practicalities dictated. Dinner was a restricted choice from the full menu but cooking and ingredients of real quality. ”Nice hotel. Rooms a touch dated and with no Aircon (but the hotel doing all they can to help guests during the hot weather). Amazing breakfast! And lovely additional facilities like mini golf and outdoor chess, etc. Pool was nice but a little dirty (stuff floating around at the bottom). Paying extra for a dog friendly room should have been flagged at booking not check-in. Also didn't expect to be charged to use the mini golf (and ultimately wasn't - the charge was apparently waived when we...

”Stayed in the 'Dunlin room' Very poor lighting in the corridor. Wallpaper patched up poorly in the corridor by the bedrooms. Noisy extractor fan in our bathroom. Breakfast a little underwhelming, (overdone bacon and chewy sausage. Staff very attentive and polite. No signal on the tv celestial channels on two days. Limited bathroom amenities. Cobwebs on the windows in the breakfast area. ”
