We stayed in a Sea View Villa 151 - the room was amazing with direct beach access (closest to the beach out of all of the villas), a nice private pool, and great sunrise views directly from bed! Definitely recommend this room.
The resort location was beautiful, and you can see lots of wildlife - we spotted hornbills (lots of them!) squirrels, monkeys and bats. The beach was also lovely, and some great places to kayak to nearby.

Food in the two restaurants was really tasty and it's only 10min walk to 4he the nearby village if you wish to eat in the smaller restaurants outside the resort.
Rent a motorbike and wonder around the island, rent was 200bth/ day.

”I really enjoyed Thiwson, peaceful bungalow village with powerful air-con. Awesome detail was also the bungalow shower which doesn’t have a roof so it feels like tou shower in the nature. From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff were the true highlight: warm, welcoming, and always one step ahead in making sure everything ran smoothly. Whether it was the front desk, restaurant staff, or housekeeping, every single person we met treated us with genuine kindness and professionalism. The view from the entrance was already breath-taking. The hotel is gorgeously designed, with immaculate landscaping throughout.
The breakfast buffet was phenomenal – fresh tropical fruits, eggs made to order, pastries, local specialties, and excellent coffee. We also thoroughly enjoyed the resort’s dining options, especially the Beach restaurant. Be sure not to miss the Surf and Turf Buffet Dinner.
Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable. Our kids especially loved the spacious bunk beds and direct pool access.
The pools were a family favorite – beautifully designed with plenty of loungers and a pool bar. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and peaceful, with poolside service that was both prompt and friendly.
Just steps away was the beach, which was soft, clean, and uncrowded. The tide moved the shoreline a couple of hundred meters and it was fun to walk towards the sea at low tide.
Anantara Koh Yao Yai has the best kids’ club we’ve ever seen. There’s so much for children to do there.
