”I honestly struggle a little to understand the extremely high rating this B&B has. Don’t get me wrong, the rooms are very private and spacious, and I personally love older properties with character. However, in this case it felt like some areas were not just old, but simply in need of better maintenance. For example, the grout and finishing in the bathroom were quite worn. To me, that’s less about the age of the building and more about general upkeep. The ladies at the property were absolutely...

”We attended a wedding at St Albans we stayed at the Royal Oaks we were very comfortable great place to stay.”

”Worse shower. Need improvement.”

”Always a good place to stay. Parking was difficult as I had to park some distance away and carry luggage due to many vehicles parked and some area in front of the rooms taken by stacked pallets from there. I am older”

”Nice place, it’s actually one room in a large house. Toilet and shower are shared between a couple of rooms, it’s ambiguous in the room description. Still a decent price for the area. ”

”Quite OK, a bit quiet neighbourhood, not really chances for eating. Otherwise OK.”

”Good sized room, easy parking and clean. Good value for money.”

”This place is a funny mix of nice and not. It's an old motel. The gardens are lovely. The pool is nice but not heated (had a swim but it was freezing on a hot day). The gym area is spacious but doesn't have any treadmills or rowing machines. The room was large and mostly clean and updated but feels dated. The tiled area at the entrance was dirty. The bathroom was modernised but smelled awful. The breakfast fridge was great. Noodles, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruit, nut bars, flavoured milk,...
