”Nice place to stay if you are passing through or doesn’t plan to spend a lot of time in the room. There was nothing wrong with this property during my visit. The only issue was the duck poop outside that covered the parking lot and entrance into the hotel.”

”If you’re on a budget then suck it up and use them but be prepared for hardship. It smells like smoke and urine. No overnight room service for towels or etc. Breakfast is sad. Not recommended for families or children young in age. They will do their best to make things work. Pool needs to be cleaned. Otherwise housekeeping staff is fantastic!!!”

”Should have read the reviews more closely. Room smelled even though it was non smoking. Shower head barely worked. Only pics online was the rooms which looked clean, but not welcoming once you arrive. Place is out of the way. Only positive thing I can say it was cheap.”

”When we booked we requested to have two queen bed rooms with connecting rooms but they didn’t have them available when we arrived.. we had to settle for a king room and 2 double beds then we had dirty towels in the king room. The experience was not the greatest and we paid $675 for 2 rooms and did not have what we asked for”

”Nice clean rooms. Pretty view of the water from the restaurant, and easy walk to the water taxi. Great breakfast buffet. Just beware of promises for adjoining rooms or specific room types next to each other. Normally we can be flexible, but this trip it mattered and wasn't fulfilled.”

”Far too much air freshener. Smelled it in my sleep. The AC unit sounds like a jet engine. The front desk staff barely greeted me upon check in. There are no amenities like coffee, shampoo, body wash. Finally, tho the bed was comfortable, I've had pieces of bread thicker than the pillows.”

”Bed linens & pillows were terrible! Towels great! We had very late room service on Friday…. Left no coffee, fresh cups, glasses, etc. No room service at all on Sat. Had to call desk for towels, coffee Outdoor area could be improved….. many chairs had no cushions Location is so nice but for $529 a night, we expect more!! Staff was very nice.”

”The staff is great. They must have kept my notes from a prior stay, they put me in a corner room/ top floor which was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Bed linens impeccably clean. Interior of the room clean and well maintained. That said, cosmetically speaking, the property is showing signs of wear, which is to be expected, I suppose. Overall, this is a great value, with a friendly and attentive staff, where you can get a peaceful night's sleep despite it being in a somewhat busy area of...

”The hotel is very well located in Downtown Norfolk, making it convenient for restaurants, attractions, and exploring the area. The property could benefit from some renovations and updates. The customer service staff were friendly and courteous; however, they were unable to resolve an issue involving a supposed double check-in that appeared in their system when there was actually only one stay. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying here again for a couple of nights...
