”It was very nice and clean. Two issues. The shower curtain smelled like an old wet towel which made the rest of the unit smell. The seams between the bedroom carpet and the kitchen floor aren’t laid down properly. Our 2 years olds foot as well as our was poked by staples or something that points up. It would be good for the owner to check on the installation. ”

”In town for Labor Day to visit family. Great little oasis to relax after full days of family time. Everything was great— clean, quiet, and well stocked. Hot tub was clean and hot (sometimes you get a warm tub instead…). There were even extra toiletries provided in case you forgot yours! No body soap/wash during our stay, which could have been an oversight at that time. Highly recommend!”

”What a stunning cabin with a perfect location. Ideal for a couple with small kids, or a couple wanting a hideaway. So beautifully arranged and very comfortable with so many options for seating, inside and out. You can sit down by the creek, out the side by the fire pit, out the back on the grass, inside on the back porch, by the fireplace in the main living space... Easy to find, perfectly hosted, 15 minutes from the city of Eau Claire, but feels like in the middle of nowhere, make this place...

”This was a wonderful home! It was meticulously clean and within walking distance of downtown Chippewa. The home has a historically significant past, and has amazing details throughout. The view from the deck is gorgeous. The owner was very responsive and helpful! I highly recommend this home!”

”We had a wonderful stay with our grandparent (>80y) and kids (9&17) and dog. The house was perfect for our different generations. Grandparents stayed downstairs with their own bathroom and the rest of the family was upstairs. Kitchen was perfectly equipped. We played outside, did some fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding. Highly recommended.”

”The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed kayaking the lake. Appreciated having ice in the freezer. The stairs are pretty steep, i wouldn't recommend for elderly or people with knee issues. ”

”Such a find - a nice, woodland property in the middle of the city! Perfect location for our grand-daughter’s visit to UW Eau Claire, and pretty close to the Otter Creek dog park for our little dog’s fun runs. The teens loved the giant TV and wrap-around couch in the ballroom-size living room! Well equipped kitchen. Only downside is that is now beside a busy highway - but well set back and hidden from the road, so you don’t hear it too much. ”

”We loved Larrabee Lodge! It was perfect for our group of 20, including four families (8 adults and 12 kids). There was plenty of space for everyone, a huge kitchen set up, and great play/entertainment spaces. The lake was just lovely. It was completely private; we didn’t see anyone else out on the lake our entire stay. And an easy walk right out the back yard. Highly recommended!”

”We had a fantastic stay at this Sand Lake house! The 4 young boys had a great time catching countless fish off the dock and paddling around in the kayaks. The moms loved the paddle boards and the lakeside campfire. A great place for our crew of 8. We were also treated to some eagles diving for their lunch near the dock and plenty of loons.”
