The Space:

Take in the incredible views, ocean breezes and sounds of crashing waves from every room of this Oceanside home, nestled in the hills of the village. The expansive views of the ocean allow you to view migrating whales and birds, colorful sunsets, the village, and the beach and breakers below. Yet the beach can be reached quickly by taking the public stone staircase just to the south of the house next door.



This home uniquely views Cape Lookout, the entrance to Netarts Bay to the south and Storm Rock of the National Wildlife Refuge to the northwest. Enjoy the warm floors of radiant heat on cold winter days while enjoying your morning coffee or storm watching from the cozy comfort of the master bedroom. This house has all of the comforts of home you would expect like modern appliances, a flatscreen TV with a DVD player, and more!



What's nearby:

Enjoy access to many nearby activities, including hiking, kayaking, crabbing, and clamming, and there's even a secret tunnel at low tide. Watch paragliders take off from the launchpad at Maxwell Mountain and get a lovely overview of the entire area. Take a trip to the town of Netarts and visit the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory for samples and tours.

The views are simply amazing! Right when you walk in you are immediately looking out at the ocean. From nearly every window there is a view. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean. The instructions to get in were great and the host was friendly and responsive. We couldn't figure out how to work the tv, but no big deal, we hung out, read and worked on a puzzle. Some things to consider: parking! Parking is not great. Roads are narrow and steep. Parallel parking in front of the house is super tight, all my sensors were going off. And the last day, a cement truck was blocking the one way narrow road and I had to back all the way out, uphill. Needless to say, with a bigger suv, parking is not ideal. A smaller car or suv would have no problems. Also, stop by the grocery store in Tillamook on the way to the house. The layout is a little different with the living room area downstairs but still, that view! Not a big deal for us. Overall, the view was outstanding and exactly what I wanted. There is not much better then falling asleep to the roar of the ocean and having coffee sitting on the deck in the morning.

Great location, can take the community stairs down to the lower road and then walk to the beach in 5 minutes. Our family has a place nearby and this is our preferred option for when other people are already visiting and we need extra accomodations for ourselves.

We had a great time and would definitely come back. The view was incredible, the location was great, the beds were comfy and everything was sparkling clean! I only left one star off because the listing is a little misleading. This isn't a 2 bedroom, it's one bedroom with a bed in the family room. It was ok for our family of 3 but would be awkward otherwise. Also the primary bathroom does not have a door and is wide open to the bedroom. The "modern" TV isn't modern so you can only watch whatever is on cable.Additional lighting would be very nice and we also wished there were some throw blankets because it's cold downstairs. It would also be great if there were comfortable seating upstairs instead of additional dining table and chairs since that's where the best view is. Again we enjoyed it, I just wanted other people to know in case those details might not work for them.

We loved our stay! The entire space was nice, tidy and well equipped. The location was perfect. The ocean views from the home and decks was incredible and the sound of the breaking waves was so relaxing. We've stayed at several rentals in Oceanside over the years, and this one is our new favorite!!

Very nice and cozy house with fabulous views. The decks and windows let you see the ocean and beach view at all levels. Lots of amenities for the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. A nice walk down to the beach and a short drive to some of the scenic capes. There was no cell service, but good wifi. Parking was tight but doable for our suv.

1st time back in 8 yrs. Views were amazing! Property was gorgeous, comfortable furniture, good dishes etc. Only surprise was the very tight parking(sideways) & interesting way to exit off the hill. We loved doing the hikes, beaches, & of course getting Tillamook Ice Cream

Freezer broken, mattress uneven, some cleanliness issues

The location and views are wonderful. Kitchen floor wasn’t totally clean. I discovered at checkout that everything I put in the freezer was 100% defrosted. There is no telescope as depicted in the photos. Biggest issue was the downstairs mattress - I’ve never seen one so lopsided. My daughter tried leveling it off with pillows and towels. Kitchen lighting was lackluster. Below the cabinets light s are burnt out. The overhead kitchen light was also burnt out so I took a bulb from another lamp.

Great stay in Ooceanside

We enjoyed our stay very much. Clean, cozy, well stocked kitchen for cooking and eating in. The bed downstairs was broken, so we couldn’t sleep down there as we would have preferred, but we notified the managers and they were very responsive. They allowed us to check out late for free for the trouble. We also realized this morning ad we were packing our cooler that the freezer hasn’t been working—our freezer he packs were liquid and it’s just room temp down there. Fridge seems fine. Thankfully we didn’t have anything in the freezer we were worried about. Beside those two minor issues, we were happy with everything. Thank you!!

Off the grid getaway

Home that is better than pictures. Good for a couple or 4 at the most. Views are amazing, well stocked with kitchen appliances (minus some common things like butter, spices, coffee, oils…might be stocked later as summer goes on) which are needed because the small charming town of Oceanside is very sleepy which we loved, cooked meals in most nights with groceries from a stop in Tillamook. Great outdoor recommendations. wifi worked as well. Would definitely stay again!

Scenic views, but some maintenance challenges

We loved our stay, but there were some issues that we should note. The door lock mechanism is tricky. You need to enter the numbers quickly or it will time out. The radiant floor heat was not responsive and maintenance needed to bring us 2 portable heaters when it was still 59 degrees after 3 hours. Once warmed up - we were able to maintain the temperature. Lightbulbs are out over the upstairs table and upstairs bathroom.

stunning view

The view is unbelievable and the location of this home is prime. Whales, pelicans, puffins - you name it - we saw it. The beach is filled with Agates and there is so much to do nearby. The wifi is horrible, so if you plan on streaming video or working, this is not the place for you. The pictures showed a telescope, which we would have loved, but there was non in the house. We fought over the binoculars.
