On-Site Caretaker Suite – Tofino Bylaw: Please note that, in accordance with Tofino Bylaws for licensed vacation rentals, a long-term tenant resides on the property in a separate caretaker suite. This requirement helps support the local community by ensuring that long-term housing remains available for people who live and work in Tofino. Guests have full and private access to the entire vacation rental they have booked. The only shared area is the driveway/parking area. The caretaker has their own separate living space, so guests can still enjoy the privacy and comfort of the vacation rental throughout their stay.



ALAQUA ON THE BEACH is a long-standing rental in Tofino that has been newly updated. Located DIRECTLY on North Chesterman Beach where you can watch the waves roll in while relaxing inside by the fireplace or step out onto the back deck to take in the view while enjoying your private hot tub or fire pit. You'll enjoy the sweeping views of the ocean and relax under midsummer's starry nights or drift off to sleep to the tranquil rumblings of the Pacific Ocean.



Location: Nestled within nearly 1 acre of lush foliage with 100 feet of ocean/beach frontage onto Chesterman Beach, Alaqua on the Beach offers private beach access and infinite views of the Pacific.



Kitchen & Dining (main level): The main living area has spectacular hand-crafted cedar ceilings with an open concept living area, dining and full kitchen! The panoramic views of the surf are the backdrop for any chef adventures, with a large kitchen island with comfortable bar seating for all chefs in training and a 6 seat dining table perfect for entertaining.



Living Area: Your comfy retreat after adventure is on the main open concept level with large smart TV with cable and a large gas fireplace.



Bedrooms: Alaqua comfortably accommodates 6 guests across three bedrooms.

Primary Bedroom: An expansive bedroom taking up the top floor with King size bed, large TV, balcony, reading nook and en suite bathroom. Please note there is no door separating the stairs down to the main level.

Second Bedroom (lower level): Queen bed with dresser and window of serene forest views.

Third Bedroom (lower level): Has a twin/double bunk bed.



Outdoor Space: A newly built exterior deck has seating perfectly situated for the ideal beach views from the propane built in firepit, hot tub and BBQ including an outdoor shower for post beach time!





IMPORTANT Things to Know/Host Rules (This avoids complaints)

• No parties or events

• Amenities listed are those provided with the property.

• If you require specific items, please ask before booking and we will do our best to assist.

• Renter's Agreement: All guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.

• Age Requirement: The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 27 years of age.

• Maximum Occupancy: In accordance with Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of six (6) guests is permitted, including infants and children. If the number of guests exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to terminate the reservation and require guests to leave the property without refund.

• Minimum Stay Requirements: During peak summer season (July-August), a minimum stay of 5 nights is required (unless it fills a gap)

•Parking: There is space available for 2–3 vehicles at the property.

• All summer bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps between reservations. During the summer season, reservation changes that create a one-night gap between bookings cannot be accommodated, as we do not accept one-night stays.

• A minimum stay of three (3) nights is also required for all Canadian Statutory Holiday periods.

• DOG Policy: Up to 2 dogs allowed only. All dogs must be approved AND PAID FOR prior to arrival. Guests who arrive with unregistered dogs or exceed the approved pet limit may be required to check out immediately. Dogs may not be left unattended in the property unless they are securely crated. Sorry no cats allowed.

• Quiet Hours: Strict quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbours and the local community.

• VRBO Beachfront Cancellation: We offer a 30-day cancellation policy. Guests who cancel at least 30 days prior to their arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.

• Accidental Damage Protection: This fee is already included in your reservation (not collected after) and covers accidental damages up to $1,000. This does not cover damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, negligence, misuse, or violations of house rules.
