”Nice house in an ideal location to enjoy the local area. We stayed for a week and the location was great for a some exellent walking, cycling and relaxing. The house is well equipped, warm, comfortable and clean, it has the added bonuis of a lockable outhouse which was good for storing bikes. Grantown is just along the road with a good range of shops, cafes and other facilities. Aviemore slighly further afield for a larger shops and amenties. Overall a throughouly enjoyable stay and...

The house was okay but would have benefited from the owners having been less defensive and having acted upon issues already raised by previous reviewers e.g. the mattresses/pillows were very uncomfortable, the tap in the upstairs toilet is very stiff and difficult to turn on or regulate the temperature, especially cold (even the caretaker couldn't sort out). ”Liked the rustic nature and the serenity of the surroundings. Shooting clay pigeons with David and Dan was awesome and great value. Highly recommend this activity. Fly fishing the River Dee with Ian Murray was also good fun...but the fish were elusive.”

”We had a great stay at Dalnagar. Brilliant location and well equipped house. The house had a really good socialising space. The only minor niggle was not enough towels for us all (wasn't a problem as we brought a couple with us) and there wasn't enough hot water. We tried to use the Boost but we couldn't as the heating programme was on. Nevertheless it did not detract from our stay and we would still recommend this property.”
