”Located about 15 minutes walk out of town, at a peaceful harbour with many sailing/motor boats to admire. The spacious room and shower room allowed us a perfect, peaceful night of rest. Restaurants were found immediately next door, in the town or 15 mins walk along the coast.
The continental breakfast was plentiful and varied.
Don't be surprised on your arrival to find that you drive through an industrial estate to reach the lodge, it in no way disturbed the perfect stay we had.”

”Great fully equipped kitchen although I only boiled eggs and made coffee. Shame there wasn't more black coffee available. Excellent bed. Shame the sofa bed was an uncomfortable sofa, I kept slipping forwards. Dining chairs were comfortable. Great to have Netflix and mirroring. Does the TV allow bluetooth earbud connection, so as not to disturb others?”

”Out of all the places we stayed during our three weeks on the South Island, Ratanui Lodge provided the best service and hospitality. Firstly, the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much for them and the two ladies we dealt with went out of their way to give recommendations and ensure our stay was fantastic. We were on honeymoon and we were left a card and bottle of bubbly in the room which was a lovely touch, as was the robes and bottled water in the fridge.
