”Our stay at Barceló Playa Tambor was okay overall. We traveled with a group, so we joined the trip, but otherwise this would not have been my first choice. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an ocean-view room, which was a nice upgrade. However, the room smelled stuffy, as if the windows hadn't been opened in a long time. The food was average. ”Beautiful property with an incredible view. The driveway is not for the faint-hearted, ensure you have a 4x4 capable vehicle and avoid coming after dark for your first night. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to make a couple meals at home. Our host Carlos was a extremely attentive and helpful throughout the stay. Would definitely come back some day!”

”The property is beautiful, Tomas is incredibly helpful and passionate, comfy bed, nice pools, yummy breakfast (bread/ jellies, coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruits, eggs) & close to beaches and Bioluminescent tour in secluded area so plenty of nature to enjoy. The entrance sidewalk is steep so wear hiking/tennis shoes not sandals/ heels, Tomas did offer to help us bring our bags up which was nice but just be aware it may not be accessible for everybody. ”We absolutely LOVED our stay at Nya. From driving up to the beautiful property, we were hooked. When we met our first staff member who checked us in, and the server who provided a welcome cava, along with all the other Nya faces, we knew this was going to be special. We were not wrong. From the beautiful beach and stunning trail along the water, the excellent food, abundant wildlife, and wonderful accommodations, Nya never disappointed. We only wish we had a longer stay!”

Building is old and needs updating badly, but staff tried to make it as welcoming as possible. Walls and ceiling in the rooms were gross and bathrooms are in bad shape. Worst part was no hot water. Best part is that beds were clean.”
