”I recommend Genjikoh for the amazing Japanese experience of enjoying the open bath overlooking the ocean and the various activities in the hotel such as the scent workshop. We booked a room for 5 and it was spacious and was pleasantly surprised it has 2 toilets. The sea view was breathtaking. We don’t book the meals as we don’t eat raw food but we had difficulty finding a good eatery outside as there are few amenities nearby and they close early. This place is great for those who drive but...

”The staff treated me so well. Working with me even with a language barrier. After a few weeks of the Tokyo and Osaka life, that place was a slice of heaven, my only regret was not staying longer. The baths were nice, the place was super clean. Transportation to get there is a bit difficult, but that I think is what makes this place attractive, since it's in such a nice, quiet part of Japan. Going there during the Sakura season was amazing too. ”

”This was our first (and best) place we stayed in on our 10 day trip to Japan. After some pre-planning accessing the hotel was easy despite it's somewhat remote location: from Nagoya airport we took a speed boat to Matsusaka and then Kintetsu train to Ugata, where we were picked up by the hotel owner. We had a traditional tatami room with a beautiful view over the bay. We made a day trip to Ise temple area by train - owner kindly drove us to the train station and picked us up after the trip. ”Eine ganz typisches japanisches Gästehaus mit traditionell japanischen Zimmern. Für die Kommunikation sind Japanischkenntnisse hilfreich. Die grundlegende Verständigung auf englisch funktioniert aber auch. Das Frühstück war üppig, traditionell japanisch und lecker.”
