  • Tee splash tällä "Up North" 1950-luvun vintage-hytin tyylillä kotiin 100 metrin päässä kauniista Long Lake -puistosta. Tätä sijaintia ei voi voittaa perheelle, joka kokoontuu kesällä tai viikonloppuna. Vain muutaman minuutin päässä Traverse Cityn keskustasta sijaitseva vintage-mökki tuntuu hyvältä "ajassa taaksepäin", mutta sillä on myös monia ajankohtaisia päivityksiä, jotka tekevät miellyttävän oleskelun. Splash Landingissä on 4 makuuhuonetta ja 2 kylpyhuonetta ja nukkua jopa 11 vuoteen. (vain 8 aikuista) Puulattiat päätason läpi. Ne, jotka ovat jääneet Splashiin jo vuosien varrella, yllättyvät miellyttävällä tavalla hiljattain tehdystä remodelingista alemmalla tasolla sekä päivittää talon läpi! Pesukone / kuivausrumpu. Kaapeli-tv, DVD. WiFi. Runsaasti kirjoja, joita voi myös käpertyä & lautapeleihin. Puulämmitteinen takka olohuoneessa. Täydellinen keittiö, jossa on astianpesukone. Suuri järvinäköala suurista olohuoneen ikkunoista! 3 makuuhuonetta on näkymä järvelle.

    Ulkopuolella kaunis järvi odottaa sinua. Muutaman askeleen alas järvelle patioalueelta. Uinti, veneily ja kalastus aivan oven ulkopuolella! Telakka, kiinnitys, veneen nosto (mahtuu korkeintaan 17 'veneen korkeuteen 3000 lbs.). Ei sitomista telakkaan. Mukana on uimataso ja jokaisella kalastusveneellä varustettu vene (Dock laitetaan myöhään keväällä sen jälkeen, kun jää hajoaa ja poistetaan myöhään syyskuussa). Tuo vene ja moottori Boones Long Lake Innille, mihin j��rvelle. Mukava hiekkapohjainen järvi pienille. Charcoal grilli ja piknik-pöytä ulkona. Palo kuoppaan paahtimisten vaahtokarkkeja tähtien alla. Kaikki odottaa vierailua.

    Helppo ajaa kaikkiin Traverse Cityn näht��vyyksiin, kuten National Cherry Festivaliin tai Traverse City Film Festivaliin. Noin 30 minuuttia Sleeping Bear Dunesille. Suunnittele Interlochenin taideakatemiassa suuri konsertti. Frog Pond Village on 6,5 kilometrin päässä. South Long Lake Forestin luonnonsuojelualue on alle 5 minuutin päässä metsän vaellukselle. Ajattele talvella hauskaa? Crystal Mountain on noin 1/2 tunnin päässä suuresta laskettelusta.

    Hyvin hoidettu lemmikkisi on tervetullut. Ei ilmastointia. Lakanat ovat saatavilla.

Exactly as described and great stay

This is an oversized 50s cabin right on the water that we stayed at in the dead of winter. It is very charming and includes most of the original features. Everything works, beds are comfy, and we had a great stay!

Reviewer Comments: Ok but things didn’t work like tv in main room coffee put had a sign on it that it was broken luckily I was able to get ahold of management they sent over a new one , but I was surprised the cleaning lady didn’t report or replace it the floors were sticky and two of the fans were shot otherwise was pleasant.

Great stay by the water.

I have stayed in this area before but not directly on the water. I was so happy to find a place with direct water access. The dock was a great place to sit and dip your toes, read a book, chat with friends. The water was beautifully clear and you got used to the temperature quickly. The house was great for a few days stay. The cleanliness mark is just because we found a bra and a full nail under one of the beds but otherwise the stay was so nice I couldn't mark it any less than 5 stars. I would recommend and stay there again!

Lovely Long Lake property

Great neighborhood, wonderful lake. Location is very convenient to Traverse City and Interlochen. Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, a massive storm blew through the area and destroyed the dock just before we arrived. So, we were not able to take full advantage of the property. The owner/management company did what they could to address our concerns.

This was a last minute booking so I was worried we wouldn't like the house. It was a really good deal. We pulled up after my mom and brother had gotten there and my mom walked out with a thumbs up. She immediately said I love this place! It's an older home, but a feel of a cottage. My husband and two kids (age 6 and 8) all had a great time. We had a fire and the kids loved picking a room. My mom said she would love to rent this house again. Thank you!

Bride to Be Weekend

Property reminded me of an old cabin, clean, warm and cozy inside. Lots of room to sleep, nice mattresses on beds, comfortable sheets, blankets & pillows. Kitchen was nicely stocked, along with a fridge both upstairs and downstairs. Close to Traverse City, but far enough away from the hustle & bustle. Saw first snow of the season and was beautiful on the trees surrounding the lake. Lights in the kitchen didn't work when we got there, but one call to the property manager and they told us where the electrical box was. We turned the breaker back on and we were back in business. All in all, a great place to rest our heads and hang out. Thanks for the nice stay!

Enjoyed our stay, but ……..

Older “Vintage “ cottage. Needed 4 bedrooms for 8 (us, kids and spouses. ) Nice layout. Kitchen well supplied. Upper bedrooms were ok and comfortable. However the beds in the basement level were very uncomfortable, so much so that a couple of our kids slept on the sofas. Basement shower didn’t drain well, until my son pulled out a gob of hair from it. Overall could have used a better cleaning as there was a lot of dust and cob webs around. Nice lake front location and close to Traverse City.

Great cabin for family

We had a great time here with the family. The location was nice. Close to traverse city ($15 Uber) and the dunes (30 minute drive), but also right on long lake, so plenty to do right at the dock for kids and adults. The tiny little beach on the property is nice and sandy for swimming and the little rowboat provided was great for fishing or getting out on the lake to watch the sunset. Nice fire pit area and plenty of chairs/tables for the whole family as well. It is a cabin and not a luxury home so pretty rustic, but that is exactly what we expected from the listing. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean and we had all the cooking basics that we needed in the kitchen. There were lots of fans and a nice breeze so the lack of AC (even on the one 80 degree day we had) didn’t really matter. The neighborhood was also nice for walks and runs. Very cute and quiet. Overall really loved our stay here.

Lake house in a Great Location

This is a typical Michigan “Up North” Lakehouse that many families have in their families for generations. There are 2 bedrooms and a full bath upstairs, and two bedrooms and a full bath downstairs. The downstairs walks out to a patio on the lake. Overall the home is cozy and comfortable. It appears to have a decent amount of traffic, which is where the cleanliness concerns come in. Not awful, but could be improved upon. The only other thing I would warn people about is that the bedroom and bathrooms downstairs have low ceilings. Most in our party were under 6ft tall, so it wasn’t an issue, but it might be if you or your family is a taller person.

Classy Cottage!

I grew up spending my summers at Long Lake at my grandparent's cottage. If you understand what going "up north" used to mean and what a classic cottage was like "back in the day" then this place is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for you It has all the elements of that "retro era" with all the modern day amenities (dishwasher, two full bathrooms--one on each floor, and a washer and dryer! AWESOME! Oh! And there's even a piano.) You have a stunning view of the lake from the entry level and immediate, easy access to a covered patio and deck/fire pit areas as well as a lengthy dock that accommodates both an on-site row boat and an open boat rack. This place is a great family get-away as well as a special girls (or guys for that matter) relaxed retreat. Homey and comfy. Bonus--the lily of the valley that line the driveway were in full bloom and their scent was just heavenly! I'll be returning--this time with my whole family in tow!

The cottage was very clean , the beds comfortable, the view beautiful. We loved our morning walks, hanging out by the water and having campfires. The only thing missing was a fully functional BBQ, as I had been told there would be a propane grill but instead there was a charcoal grill without any charcoal or lighting fluid, so make sure to bring your own supplies for a cookout. We instead cooked out inside and it was fine! The rowboat was fun to take out but the oars were super squeaky so those just need a little oil or something. Other than those two minor issues, it was a wonderful long weekend away from the hustle and bustle or everyday life. We will definitely be back again! It's out Up North Happy Place, for sure!

Up north Cabin feel on a beautiful lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first year staying at Splash Landing although we have stayed at several other houses on Long Lake. Absolutely love Long lake-crystal clear and perfect for swimming or floating. The dock provided good access to the water (although it would be nice if it was wider)The house was as advertised-an up north type cabin which perfectly fit our needs. The house did have a musty smell which decreased once the windows were open to let in the lake breeze. Fans were in every bedroom and there was s dehumidifier in the basement. Warning-the basement ceiling is low so if your tall you will have to duck! The house is well stocked and it's great there is a second refrigerator in the basement making it close access when spending time on the deck or in the water. Plenty of parking and a nice firepit. The grill could definitely be improved. Can't wait to return again next year

Splash Landing a fabulous cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My 3 other friends and myself have done a girls weekend every summer for many years,we have tried to stay someplace different each time. We had a different cabin booked but at the last minute that cabin was canceled. But with the help of Lindsey at Up North Vacations we were able to get this cabin. Having 4 bedrooms and 2 baths was great for us 4 older gals. The cabin was very clean, well furnished,and super comfortable, we had a great view of the lake and had good enough weather we were able to do a little swimming. The water was crystal clear. There was also many places to explore. We did a little driving around to see the sites, we went to Sleeping Bear Dunes, checked out the town of Empire, and had great ice cream at Moomer's, did some shopping in Traverse City,we also went out to eat at a couple of restaurants, we would love to recommend Long Lake Inn the food was fabulous. We loved our stay and give this cabin a 5+ rating. I would also like to recommend Up North Vacations for your planning on your next vacation.

Lovely property for our family! The kitchen, however, was ill-supplied i.e. lots of mis-matched and/or lidless old pots and pans, all poorly organized - we had to search to find two decent fry pans, only one of which had a lid, and there are lots of spacious cabinets, largely empty, to search through. The kitchen table overlooking the lake was wonderful - we played a lot of cribbage there - and the little desk nook was perfect for our laptop. What a beautiful lake, and if the weather had cooperated we would have spent most of our time outdoors - unfortunately it was very cold and rainy. So nice to have a fireplace and lots of wood to take the chill off - a much-appreciated warm and cozy up-north vibe.

Great Location

The location is pristine and we really loved the view of the lake from the dining table! The only caveat I would point out was the cleanliness of the home. They had hardwood floors so the struggle is always with dust bunnies but with that comes the knowledge of the need to thoroughly clean the floors. Having a wife with dust allergies this turned out to be a nightmare for her with constant flare-ups. All of the vents and air intake locations for the heater were absolutely horridly jammed with dust and it would appear the central heating ducts hadn’t been cleaned in over a decade if not longer. Great wonderful location just needs a little bit more attention to the dust that all over the floor and under the beds and tables before being turned over to new tenants.

Cozy and Quiet

This was a charming home and the view to the water was amazing! The water was so clear and clean. Even though it was still a bit chilly, my kids couldn’t resist. We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this home to a family looking for a quiet and fun getaway!
