”Overall, this was a great place for a large group. The location was convenient, the accommodations were comfortable, and having air conditioning in each bedroom was a huge bonus during the summer.Check-in could have been smoother. We arrived at the gate but had to wait for our host because we hadn’t received arrival instructions in advance. There is also a fairly steep uphill walk from the parking area to the property, which is something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage....

3. Villa Paradise View With Private Pool, Torbole sul Garda, Italy

Torbole sul Garda

”The stunning views and the pool make this villa exceptional, it is worth booking it for that alone and i would live to come back to this villa. The local village of Nago is beautiful also, with many restaurants, bars and a small shop very close by. However on arrival the Villa had a dated and un-lived in feel like it had sat unused for a while. The patio and pool were dirty and decking round pool in need of repair with many small nail heads sticking up and broken slats. Pool man arrived next...

”The property has a beautiful view but it has a very long and steep walk to get to any restaurants. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING even though the listing clearly stated there was A/C and there is not a single fan in the house, either. Google maps does not get you to the house, you have to keep on going and then back into the gated driveway or go past it and turn around. Very difficult to get a large vehicle into the driveway. Has a beautiful view but that is about the highlight of the...

”This villa is true to the pictures, and we enjoyed our short stay here. It is an easy walk to Lake Caldonazzo, which is a resort/beach area with lots of restaurants and gelaterias to visit, and hiking in the Dolomites is nearby as well. The rental itself was clean, everything functioned well, and the...

Grand Hotel Trento

8/10 Hyvä

"This review was saved by the staff. The summer has been very warm. Exceptionally warm even but not surprisingly warm. This exceptional warmth has made the AC in the hotel work in an unsatisfactory level. It wouldn't be a stretch to way the hotel has sold something it doesn't have when claiming to have AC in rooms. I've once seen the same pattern, so I recognized it. The hotel management is absolutely knowledgeable about the situation, but instructs the staff to go through the same process with each complaint about rooms being too hot: 1. Send someone to fiddle with the AC controls and hope the customer is silenced. 2. If not, move the customer to another room. 3. If still not, repeat 1. even if it's demeaning. 4. If the customer is headstrong and still unhappy, move to another room and raise the room level. This is of course unsustainable if nobody gives up at earlier steps. Many do for sure and that's why it works. I gave a four-star review because the old hotel is a magnificent building and the staff was professional and very nice, even though I didn't sleep that well at all. I'd like to see these kinds of hotels continue to exist. So, my message is ultimately to the decision-makers: Shame on you. You need to have that pricey AC overhaul right now. You've known about it for a longer time."
