”Awesome staff”

”The hotel is perfectly situated next to the gondola and the staff are super helpful. Hotel room was huge and clean. They service the rooms daily and everything is in walking distance, but not right where the hustle and bustle is.The parking is a little funky, but if you buy parking, you can park underground, in the garage. ”We’ve stayed at The Peaks on several occasions, and sadly, this trip was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we checked in, the experience was poor. The front desk employee was curt and provided virtually no information about the hotel or amenities. We weren’t told that the pool was under construction, the waterslide was closed, the game room was closed, or that the restaurant wasn’t open. ”This is a 1898 hotel in the San Juan mountains old mining country. Most unique hotel we have ever stayed in the US, England, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico. All the bedrooms represent the turn of the century with meticulous care by the owners Matt and his wife. Expect a hearty and warm welcome by Matt when you arrive. ”The hotel was a small but lovely place. We had a room with a full size bed, we thought we were getting a queen, and a shared bathroom, that we were told was very nice bathroom. The shower was like a camoer shower, the way it was explained we wete under assumption it was a spa like bathroom. I understand most Colorado does not have Air conditioning, it was 85 degrees in the hotel at 8PM. Large steep flight of stairs to walk to the rooms wasn't pleasant for a handicapped person. ”This is a really funky, quaint historic hotel. Great location, you can walk all over Silverton and to the shops and restaurants. My son and I stayed on our way through to our home in Northern Colorado. We were in the two bedroom room. The beds were super comfortable and we slept really well.
