Do you enjoy hiking? If so this is the perfect property for you! Located in Botetourt County, only 10 minute drive to the town of Daleville, Sunnybrook Farm is nestled in the heart of the of the Famous Triple Crown Hiking Trails, with Tinker Cliffs only a mile away. Sunnybrook Farm consists of 9 plus acres where you will find a refreshing pool to relax in or if you prefer a hot tub is available. There is a koi pond you can visit and feed the fish while listening to the frogs sing. In the evening, please come and make yourself at home and join us at the fire pit. The studio apartment is located on the ground level of our home, however there is no entry access to the main house, allowing you complete privacy. Fiber internet and TV is provided. You will also find coffee, bottled water, and a few snacks available as well. Centrally located between Roanoke and Salem, 15 minutes from I81, Roanoke College is only 16 miles away, Hollins University is approximately 15 miles away and 28 miles (40 minute commute) to VA Tech. There are many attractions in the area such as craft breweries, VA Transportations Museum, Center In The Square, Tubman Museum of Art, are just to name a few. Mill Mountain Zoo, along with fine dining, coffee shops and seasonal concerts in Daleville and Roanoke are also popular activities many enjoy. We welcome you to come and enjoy this little piece of paradise and watch the sun rise through the tree tops as the deer graze in the rolling fields.

The room was incredibly clean & well kept. Everything was great from inquiry to check out. Pleasant spot for soaking in the wonderfully hot, hot tub both upon evening check in & in the morning. We were slightly surprised by the occasional noise from the family upstairs, but felt our area was private.

Our host was very prompt & clear in her communication. She answered a few questions quickly, and I got the check-in information on time as well. The property is very cozy & comfortable. The bed was comfy, as was the couch. The big screen television had free Netflix & Hulu to choose from. The internet instructions were clear and easy to use. Although we did not use the hot tub (was a bit too cold outside for us that evening), there were clear instructions & towels available for us to use. I would recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a quiet place nestled in the Appalachian Mountains.

We had a great stay. We booked (3 of us) for a girls night get away. It was perfect. We laughed, we soaked, we sat by a fire but most importantly it was just us with time together and no worries. Laura was very accommodating and present with communication through VRBO. Beautiful place.

The property was amazing! Perfect getaway and peaceful nights. The pool and hot tub/patio were beautiful! Easy check-in instructions, helpful notes in the room (like for the hot tub), and super clean. Hiked nearby trails and went kayaking in a close reservoir.

We had a very comfortable stay. It is very well stocked with toiletries and snacks. The pool and hot tube area is very nice! The property, as described, is in the woods so just note that if you need anything like ice, be sure to get it before you turn off of route 220.

Luxurious room with a hotel feel but the location still gives the perfect home away from home vibe. The stars at night were stunning and is the perfect spot for unplugging from city life. The only downside is the bed is not supportive enough if you have any kind of back issues, but is comfortable overall. The shower has lovely pressure and plenty of towels were provided as well as an assortment of hygiene products. The internet worked great and we were able to watch Netflix in the evening with no problems. The views and walking areas are just gorgeous and driving on the mountain roads was scenic. We bought charcuterie based foods and snacked on those as our dinner one night and it was a perfect option for not having access to a stove or oven and avoiding eating out both nights. The hot tub was perfection and easy to use. The provided instructions were well written and detailed.

Unit was perfect for our visit to hike the triple crown trails. Trails were 5 -15 minutes away as were many options for dining. The hot tub provided relief after the hikes. Unit and grounds were well kept. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

Enjoyable Stay

Enjoyed this location as aspected; it worked out well for my son and I. The pool was nice, very slippery though so be careful; that did not stop us from using it a few times. We saw a little, very young black bear right there on little catawba creek rd, so be on the look out! I will say the walls are thin, but once we went to bed I didn't have any issues. We would like to come back to the area soon. Our GPS said the surrounding areas mph is 55, which is crazy for all the wild life, definitely not suggested. Take the time and enjoy this beautiful location!

Stopped here for a night before backpacking the VA Triple crown. It was exactly what we needed for a great price. Very beautiful spot in a quiet area. Hosts were friendly and accommodating.
