”This group was made up of 7th-12th graders from our classical Christian school (and adults). Our school has a house system and has an ongoing competition, and this group of boys won! This house was selected for their retreat, and they thoroughly enjoyed the house and their time up north. The chaperones said the homeowners were easy to contact regarding access and if anything came up. Thank you for a great retreat! We would highly recommend this home for any large or small groups!!”

”This worked out great for 3 days of work in the area. Highly recommend. You couldn’t be any closer to the river… literally 6 feet out the door at the edge of the awesome covered patio. Wish I could have fished more but unfortunately had to work most of the day. Did catch a monster pike the last morning before leaving right out the door. Excellent stay, hosts were great. ”

”This was my first VRBO. I had a few accommodations for my family to meet in order to make this adventure successful. Three grandsons and 1 son are on the autism spectrum and 1 son that has high social anxiety. The fireworks on the lake were phenomenal and gave some the chance to watch from inside the home due to sensory overload. ”This is a beautiful home with plenty of room for the 15 of us. Everything was as described. The yard and beach area was great for the kids. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boats and having a camp fireto make smores. We had a lot of family fun on the pontoon and fishing was good. We created so many great memories with our adults kids and grandkids. The host was very good with communication and we highly recommend this home. ”

There was great swimming and lots of fun to be had whether we were making a fire in the bonfire pit, floating on the lake or staying inside playing board games. Great place for everyone. ”My husband and I hosted grandma camp this past weekend with 3 adult grandkids and 2 high school age plus one baby great granddaughter! We had so much fun playing games on the deck, picking up fresh corn and peaches at the farmers market in nearby Sand Lake and laughing about memories we created in previous years. This worked out perfectly for our daughter & son’s (not saying in law, because he is like a son to us) wedding reception at The Castle. The property was perfect for Friday night pizza party (Hixson’s pizza!) before the big event Saturday. The boys stayed here and LOVED IT! The cornhole game, firepit & hot tub were a hit!
