Room was hot. When I first arrived about 7pm the room was hot. AC was set on 60 and was not cooling. I gave it the benefit of the doubt because west sun was beaming directly in window and I had door open a lot getting my things into room so maybe I let what cool air that was in room out. Finally about midnight cooled down enough to sleep. Would have complained to front desk but did not want to deal with woman at front desk not very friendly at all so I guess shame on me. Floor needed vaccuuming as there were beads on the floor from kids jewely stepped on them. Had to put up $50 cleaning fee (in case I made a mess or tore up something) and a $50 fee for my Chihuahua in case he made a mess which he did not so I hope I get my deposit back. At checkout they said 7-10 business days so we will see. Lady was very nice and helpful at checkout. Bedding was clean didn't find any bugs.

Had to walk past pit smoking employees to enter. Checked in while employees continued to talk to each other instead. Bed dipped in the middle making it uncomfortable for two.

Staff person when I arrived was very rude. She never told me anything regarding my stay about breakfast hours nor provided a tv guide. Room had a very bad odor. I tried to explain to her my service dog use and she did not let me explain. I stayed at three other hotels on my travels lately and all of them understood my issue. I even offered to provide a doctors letter but she was not interested. I stayed at another Best Western in Tucumcari and it was outstanding. Big difference from a large city to a small town.
