”The whole resort is quite grand indeed. However the Wi-Fi wasn't working in the room during our two nights stay which is simply unacceptable with these room rates. The room was incredibly dark. No bright lights available. So forget reading a book in the room. The pool was nice, staff was nice. All the prices were ridiculously expensive (compared to other local prices) so you might want to walk outside the resort to ask for safari tours and a car for your next destination etc...”

”The staff here go above and beyond, the ‘glamping’ experience was great. Food was really nice but quite expensive. The safari company run joint with the camp was amazing and extremely well run. ”We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. We were the only guest and had the middle of three tent suites/tree houses. The beautifully maintained grounds of the camp are full of birds and the staff are always attentive. ”Horrible and disgusting and such poor service. We spoke with the hotel's reservation a couple of hours before arrival to confirm our 2 rooms and they confirmed back. When arriving there was initially nobody and reception and then a whirlwind of confusion started. Clearly our rooms weren't ready, staff we're sprinting to start to clean rooms and even kicked out a family out of one of our rooms who then had to run over the lawn with their belongings and stuff in their hands. ”Very nice place and experience to sleep up in a tree! The service was excellent and friendly stuff. They did us a big tasty takeaway breakfast 05am because we were going on early morning safari to Udawalawe. There is no windows in the room or bathroom but it was not a problem for us, it makes the athmosphere, feeling like you sleep in the jungle. There are bambu curtains insted of the windows. I recomend this for one-two nights sleepover. The bathroom is clean and shower is good like in a 3star...
