”It's briefly mentioned that the hotel provides a shuttle service, and it worked out to be really useful. They had a regular schedule running between the izukyu-shimoda JR station and the shuttle. We got a room with a balcony with a "partial sea view", which turned out to be a fantastic view to the bay! The breakfast at the in-house french restaurant, The Pheonix, was moderate, but the dinner in the Japanese restaurant was really good. The pool was nice, and had great views to offer from the...

”The views are amazing, but the property is quite dated and if you look around the vents and ac you can see lots of dust and mold”

”The staff was very helpful. It was a stormy afternoon when we arrived. The hotel is right by the Shirahama beach( 2 minutes’ walk). Our room was on the top floor with ocean view, and we could see the sunrise and watch the surfers catching the waves. There is a 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby. The room was very spacious. If you booked a Japanese-style room, you have to make your futon bed yourself. The futon was very comfortable !!! I didn’t get a chance to use the onsen as I have a tattoo, but...

”Room is clean but front office staff not very helpful. No complimentary water provided and no restaurant in the hotel . Nearby no restaurants . Difficult to find food . Have to walk a steep slope to find restaurants. The good point about the hotel is that it has beautiful sea view and it provides free shuttle service to the train station. Would not recommend to stay in”

”I had a great nights sleep here. I would visit again.”

”Excellent hotel on the beach. Very nice clean room. Staff are very helpful and kind. Would definitely come back.”
