”Lots of character, authentic, old inn (original part built circa 1690) set in beautiful countryside. Some parking on site at rear, but one evening we had to park on the roadside. (It is a quiet road so OK.) There is a nice seating area in a garden in front of the Inn. Nice ambiance overall. Staff are very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were good. The double room we stayed in was sufficiently quiet and of an acceptable size. Would definitely consider staying again if in the area.”

”My second time staying here and it remains a really enjoyable and comfortable base for Marlborough and the surrounding area. The room is big, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is good and generous, and the people are responsive and accommodating. A good, relaxing option.”

”Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. ”
