”Whlle the staff did help and went oout of their way to help us celebrate a special occasion, we were disappointed that it could have been a more of an "African" experience - especially with the dining. We were anticipating that there would have been a lot more of the South African taste in the menus. Unfortunately, the schedule at the camp was so tight, there was not enough down time to actually enjoy the camp itself. It was also disappointing to be presented with a blll with unknown/ hidden...

”We had a wonderful stay at Hitgeheim Country Lodge. The road in is a little rough, but as it is an eco reserve, that is to be expected and part of the experience. The reward is the wildlife along the way, and we were lucky enough to encounter some zebras. We chose a room with a private pool, which was absolutely beautiful and made our stay feel extra special. We loved the port provided and enjoyed a delicious Taste of South Africa dinner in the restaurant. A lovely final touch was having our car...

”The lodge was nice but it was in the middle of nowhere! We also felt we were ‘fleeced’ for our trip to Addo. Our friends were charged half what we were charged for their exact same game drive. We were taken from the lodge on a very uncomfortable 1.5hr drive in an old truck that did not even have air conditioning. ”

”Um den Addo Elefantpark zu besuchen ist es ein wunderbares Hideaway, das zu empfehlen ist. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, etwas altmodisch, passt jedoch zum Stil des Guesthouses. Leider gab es nicht täglich neue Handtücher, aber wir haben auch nicht nachgefragt. Die Eatery ist ein sehr hübscher Platz zum Dinner und für das Frühstück. Wenn man es früh aber eilig hat wird es schwierig, da das Servieren der Eierspeisen gefühlt ewig gedauert hat. Ganz wunderbar ist der weitläufige Garten, der dazu...

”Mooie cottage gunstig gelegen tov Addo Elephant Park. Toegangsweg met ‘gewone’ auto uitdagend bijna 5 km over onverhard met gaten en keien. Uitzicht adembenemend, lieve honden op het terrein maar daar moet je van houden natuurlijk! Spullen wat verouderd maar alles aanwezig.”
