Come enjoy our classic Pacific Northwest forest abode! We have everything you would need for a weekend or week retreat into the Hood Canal lifestyle. The space
Our apartment is clean, efficient in a mostly open floor plan of approximately 730 square feet with nice natural lighting from sky lights above the main king sized bed and the kitchenette/dining room area. The living room area has wooded garden views, two love seats and at least two comfy chairs arranged for time together.

Kitchen appliances include a small dorm sized refrigerator and freezer with a small ice tray, coffee pot, hot water pot, toaster oven, two burner electric hot plate, microwave oven, rice cooker/steamer, crock pot, electric grill press, small blender, fire extinguisher.
Various kitchen utensils, bowls, pots, pans. A variety of servingware and a table with four chairs, two extra chairs also. There is about a dozen dish cloths, five hand towels and a handful of linen napkins (sorry, no paper towels).

We also have a Twin rollout available that can be prepared for your needs. The living room area is used for this purpose, some furniture will be rearranged and the space becomes a cozy bunk style room. Extra blankets and pillows are available.

Wifi internet is available to guests as well as a small Bose CD player or small PC type satellite speakers to plug most personal computers or other media devices with an 1/8" headphone jack or via bluetooth wireless.

There is no television monitor, cable or satellite service.

There are books and games on the shelves.

The bathroom is clean and spacious. Corner shower stall with a low step height, no tub. Plenty of fresh bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. There is a basket and drawers with travel/hotel sized soaps/bodywash, hair shampoo/conditioner, lotions, shower caps and other personal care items.

Guest access
The entire 2nd floor apartment is available for use to our guests. Access is available by way of an outdoor stairway on the East end of our detached garage. The door has a coded keypad entry. Parking is adjacent to the garage stairs. Gated driveway parking is shared by House residents and guests.
Other things to note
We have about a dozen Chickens that free range the property. If you would like some eggs and we have extras, let us know!
The driveway is gated and is kept closed with a simple tether at the top where the gates meet in the middle. Please make sure to secure it behind you so our feathered and furred friends don't wander on to the road.

Kayak sightseeing on local estuaries and lakes is available. Please inquire for rental pricing and guided paddles when requesting a reservation.


Located close to the Olympic National Forest, outdoor recreational access is abundant and varietal. We are about 2 miles to the Boat Launch next to Union Marina on Hood Canal in view of the Southern Olympic Range and Anna's Bay.

Local convenience stores have limited hours and selection, especially off season. Larger retailers are approximately a 30 - 40 mile round trip to either Shelton, Hoodsport or Belfair.
Other approximate drive times: Olympia 35-45 minutes Bremerton/Silverdale 40-50 min. Tacoma 65-75 minutes.
Seattle or Portland downtown 2 hours.
SeaTac International Airport 90 minutes drive *during non-peak commute hours*.
