”You get what you pay for. Cleanliness is basic at best as none of the surfaces are even wiped. This specific room has one window that goes into the hallway where everyone walks along, only covered by s basic blind - not privacy proof whatsoever as the windows looks right into the bedroom. No desk or a chair to place anything on. Not a single towel hook or place to have it dry out throughout the day. Loose toilet seat. This place is fine if you want somewhere close to CBD and just to sleep for...

”Pretty good condition, carpet a bit worn but understandable as it’s dog friendly. They forgot linen for the pull out bed but dropped it round promptly when we rang at 7pm. Would stay here again.”

”I booked 3 nights, but ended up staying a week. Place is nice, clean, cosy, staff superfriendly, surroundings very beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped and there is lots of space. Dorm room was warm enough for me, I find most of the NZ hostels too cold on winter time. Moana Lodge is truly a home away from home and good place to stay if you need a break from busy Wellington. Only thing I wish to change is that they should have unlimited wi-fi., altough I did get as much those 1GB...
