My stay at Yugo Guest Suites was mixed. The room itself was nice, but the overall experience felt unwelcoming. I stayed for a full week and not once did a staff member from the hotel or apartment complex greet me or check in on how my stay was going, which left me feeling like just another number.
Another drawback is that while the property has a gym and pool, hotel guests don’t have access to them. When you compare the nightly hotel rate to what residents pay for their leased units, it doesn’t seem fair — you end up paying more per night while receiving fewer amenities.
As for noise, guests should be aware that the building sits right on a main road. Between normal traffic and ongoing roadwork in the area, you do hear trucks and activity throughout the night. It wasn’t unbearable, but it’s worth noting if you’re a light sleeper.
Overall, the suite itself was fine, but between the lack of hospitality, the limited amenities, and the road noise, it wasn’t the kind of experience I would hope for given the price.
