Wake up to the Indian Ocean from a king-size bed. This top-floor apartment has an air-conditioned ensuite bedroom, a bright living room, a full kitchen and two private balconies, one facing the sea. Enjoy fast WiFi, solar backup power and a gated, secure building with cameras and an electric fence. Our team welcomes you in person. Uroa is Zanzibar's quiet east coast, where mornings are slow and the views do the talking.

This is the top-floor apartment in our family-run building on Uroa Beach, and the one with the best views.
The bedroom is spacious and bright. It has a king-size bed, air conditioning, a wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Glass doors along the wall frame the ocean, so you can lie in bed and watch the sea.
Next door, the living room has a comfy sofa, a wall-mounted TV, a ceiling fan and a dining table for four. Sliding doors lead out to the first balcony, which faces the Indian Ocean. The second balcony has carved Zanzibari wooden posts and looks across the palms. Both are private to you, so there's no sharing and no queueing for the good spot.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook a proper meal or just make breakfast: gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, coffee maker and toaster.
WiFi is included, and solar backup power keeps lights, fans, TV and WiFi running if the grid drops out. It doesn't cover the air conditioning.
Outside, Uroa is a quiet stretch of coast. It has less crowding than Nungwi or Kendwa, with fishing boats at low tide, palms and plenty of space.

The whole apartment is yours, including both private balconies. You'll also have use of the building's parking. The beach is right outside, and your host team is on site if you need anything.

We're a family-run property, and our on-site team will welcome you personally at check-in, show you around and answer any questions. After that, we leave you to enjoy your stay, but we're only a message away on Airbnb .
We're happy to help with restaurant tips, boat trips, snorkelling, taxis and local advice, and we reply quickly.

● The tide: The sea goes out a long way at Uroa. Low tide is wonderful for walks and watching the fishermen, and high tide is best for swimming. We'll give you the day's tide times when you arrive.
● Getting here: The airport is roughly an hour away by road.
