”Not really a luxury accommodation, but very good quality place to stay. Close to vineyards, golf courses and other attractions. Abdolutely beautiful view over Hunter Valley, old buildings create a pleasant athmosphere. No outdoor pool, but indoor pool in spa premises is a big one. Sauna is way too mild and not in good shape. We really loved our time here althought it's a bit pricey.”

”Plenty of space, lovely to have the outdoor table for dinner - plenty of deckchairs by the pool. Great outlook onto a vinyard and heaps of roos lazing about. Very close to the Hunter Valley Gardens for the xmas lights. Some good restuarants close by.”

”Yes, the linen was fresh and beds comfortable. We would have liked aircon as we had booked Oct 25 and were only ones without it. There was a jug and cups but no coffee or tea etc. The new bathrooms were lovely. We would come again as good for the price. Great breakfast too.”

”We were pleased to be upgraded to a one bedroom suite and we each also received a complementary welcome drink. The staff at Chateau Elan were wonderful as were the restaurant and golf staff at The Vintage. The unit was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We would rate this establishment and especially its staff as 5 stars plus! Needless to say, we would highly recommend as stay at Chateau Elan as well as the restaurant and golf at The Vintages.”

”Room is great for an overnight sleep especially if doing balloon and have to get up at 3am. You get what you pay for but rooms n bathroom are clean which is all that matters. Staff are friendly and helpful. Easy checkin and self check out - drop key in box. ”

”Spider webs in room corners at floor level, never got the WiFi password asked twice, Water damage to ceiling and the fire alarm went off at 2.00 am in the morning twice within 5 minutes of each burst. The staff were nice and I parked outside my room but a line of pot plants were difficult to maneuver around to get to and from ones car, the pot plants shouldn't be there a massive OH&S issue for guests. ”Dilapidated, filthy, overpriced, safety hazard and should be shut down before someone gets hurt. Wear a HAZMAT suit if you decide to stay in this "bargain accommodation" or drive to another suburb for better options. Unacceptable that this place continues to trade - since I was too busy to check referrals, I regretted every second of my choice to stay here. I apologised to my wife for this mistake - I don't often do that......”

”We had a wonderful 1 night stay at Silverpoint Estate. Christine was so helpful and communication was great. Lovely spacious house with very comfortable beds in a beautiful location. The breakfast included was wonderful too. We can't wait to come back!”

”Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. ”
