”I like the historic home atmosphere. The new owners have made improvements to make guests feel more at home. The breakfast was very good, not too fancy. If you have mobility issues, this might not be the place for you. Most rooms are upstairs (narrow staircase). The shared bathroom is small and has a clawfoot tub on a raised platform. We only stay one night when we stay here because my husband can't get in the tub. But that is what you get when you stay in a historic house. We love it here.”

”Overall it was a really enjoyable stay at the Matterhorn. It was quiet, the rooms were clean and well appointed, and there were plenty of great restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The only thing I think prospective visitors need to know is that while it is a resort town, it looked like there was only one bar open past 10pm. All the other shops/restaurants close around 9pm or so. Other than that, the stay was amazing and the mountain views were absolutely stunning!”
