Perfect Location
Location is perfect—Starved Rock is within walking distance and Downtown Utica is less than 5 mins drive. Super clean. Great for family of 5 with lots of space.Will definitely book again.

Our stay was wonderful. It was a lovely home away from home and four of us adults had plenty of room and space to enjoy. It was easy to get to starve rock and get into several of the little towns and the museums! We especially enjoyed Star Union Spirits distillery, live music and great tour!

Great condo! It was just as listed - super clean and comfortable. Everything we could need and the host was very responsive and proactive in communication. Close to town and hiking trails. Really a great place to stay - we are ready to go back already!

Great get-away
Wow! Absolutely had THEE best time. Enjoyed the 3 state parks! They were all fantastic. Amazing views- I really hope to come back in the near future. We didn't get to see it all- and at different times of the year- I can't wait to see it again! The space for our family was a great value! Couldn't be happier. I give it a 10 out of 10!

Nice get away in Starved Rock Area
Great spot for a quick get away to Starved Rock and other hiking areas; we were interested in the hiking and the events in town; very convenient location; place is very spacious. Gas fireplaces are nice and cozy in cold weather

The place is awesome. Very relaxing getaway from the big city. Cozy & comfy place. Hiked at starve rock and did wine tasting nearby in downtown Utica. Enjoy your stay! I am definitely going back:)

Property was pretty and in a great location. Was disappointed that many things were closed during the week. The villa was very nice and spacious. Did have to do a lot of dishes because previous tenants put away dirty but overall was very pleased.

Anniversary Getaway
The villa is very clean and spacious with nice amenities. Everything you'll need to cook is there. No griiling or fireworks permitted. There are plenty of restaurants and attractions close by. I recommend bringing some pillows and bed linens only because those provided are not hotel quality (I am a pillow and sheet snob). That's the only very minor negative of our stay. Check in and out process very easy, liked the checklist to follow before you go. Owner is great at communication. The map to the location given is accurate. We will definitely back.

This property was by far, the cleanest, most comfortable townhouse we ever rented. It's location was close to everything!!. It looks way better than in the pictures. Host was awesome. Took care of our every request, very quickly. Wish all hosts were like that! Quiet and clean resort. Hiking was great. Dogs loved our trip also. Good job. Thanks. I'd highly recommend this property. Would stay again, bring a camping chair
Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would absolutely come back again. Great location, the only thing we would do different is to bring camping chairs for sitting out back during the evening. The wifi /cable was out on our first day, but they were able to take care of it within 24 hours, had comcast come out , so appreciate the effort on that, an inconvenience though for sure.

Very nice property. It was very homey. Our only small complaint was the pillows were very thin and the sheets came off the bed very easy. I would just bring pillows from home. We would definitely stay again.

Great Nature Getaway
We were surprised how big and spacious the townhouse was. Lots of room to spread out. Host was super accommodating and helpful. The location was prefect. Quiet and so close to all the great hiking trails. House was clean and it was stocked with enough supplies to get us through 3 nights. Kitchen was well stocked. My one and only complaint are the beds and pillows. The two queen beds were okay for my kids but the king bed was so uncomfortable that we found the couches to be a better option. This isn’t a deal breaker for us as we are pretty flexible and easy going, but next time we’d bring a mattress topper and our own pillows. Otherwise, great quiet, family friendly place. We would recommend it.

Spring break with the family
Close to Starved Rock. Our children and grandkids enjoyed hiking the many trails, a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry, and the on-site water park. Great food, dining, and shopping in this quaint community. Will stay here again.

This was a good spot. We did not realize initially that it was on the grounds of the Grand Bear resort, but it wasn't a problem -- just not as "out in the woods" as it might otherwise be. It also has two big bedrooms upstairs and then the third bedroom is a couch in the living room downstairs, so it sleep quite a few, but you have to be able to configure them just right. But again, we made this work. It was a very pleasant weekend.

Exactly what we wanted!
Although the unit could use updating and TLC, none of these could take away from what was ultimately 2 great nights for my family! It has everything you could want to unwind and take your mind off of things. The views from the room were decent…beautiful with the snow we woke up to this morning. We will definitely look to stay again! We are locals who have often wanted the opportunity to stay on site at grand bear and just enjoy.

Large condo close to Starved Rock!
This place was way more space than we really needed, very cozy with fireplace and jacuzzi tub upstairs. It was nice and clean, well cared for. My only critique is they are due to unclog the sinks upstairs, as they aren't draining well

Our first time to Starved Rock State Park did not disappoint! This townhome rental was perfect for our group of 4 50-something women to get out in nature and enjoy! It was a perfect location- close to everything we needed. Clean. Spacious, we could have easily had another 2-4 people with us! Communication from the owner was wonderful!! We will be back! Perfect Weekend Hangout
Some friends and I were looking for a place to meet up for our annual weekend get together, and we came across this property. It’s perfectly located if you want to get out to either state park (both Starved Rock and Mattheisen were practically down the road), but there’s also more than enough at the property to be able to just hang out and have a good time. Side note: Martin was great. He communicated everything I needed to know for the stay, and made himself available if I had any questions, but beyond that he let us be. I’d definitely stay here again!
