”Only thing that was bothersome was the attitude of desk clerk on check in - she couldn’t be bothered when I asked about getting a different room - curt short answer just not possible - I asked about room on first floor - my wife has mo bility issues - we ended up on 2nd floor but at end of hallway which was a distance ”

”The staff were very nice. The room was ok. The sofa bed mattress was worn out and the cushion was coming apart at the seams. The room was clean. The eating area for breakfast needed more tables and chairs. We had stayed at the Staybridge in Mt Juliette and experienced a very nice time. Much better. ”

”Asked room from a top floor, it was not honored. Very very loud hotel, people running in the corridors and slamming doors until midnight. Hotel has seen it’s vest days. Breakfast non existent, everything was either run out or machines were broken. Can not recommend.”

We stayed here about 4 years ago when under different management and were given a full tour of this beautiful, historic home, and had the most delicious breakfast in one of the reception rooms, a table for two. So romantic! Well, new management has stopped serving breakfast and there’s none of the feel of enjoying the reception rooms to sit and read or talk or take in the atmosphere of the olden days. ”Standard room for the price range. No frills but no major complaints either. For a free breakfast, I find it difficult to nitpick. The selection was diverse enough to allow most people to find a thing or two to enjoy. The single serve pancake machine was cool. I had never seen one before. Beds were comfy and clean. The shower / bathroom could use updating. If you're not staying in the hotel as your vacation, this place is perfect. It's in the middle of everything. You can't go a block without...
