When we checked in we were informed the heating element for both was out, so the hot tub wasn’t working and the pool was chilly, but at least open. Okay, we can work with that. However, when we went to swim, it was obvious the pool filter wasn’t working properly either. There was algae growth around the filter and filter ducts, a pool light with exposed wiring wrapped in duct tape pulled from the open socket to poolside linoleum and...

”Stayed in Durango for the night on the way from California to Colorado Springs. Older motel but in clean condition. The room had a small frig in it, desk, tv and a decent bed. It was great for a one night stay for the price. Ask for rooms towards the back as the front street is really busy. The front attendant was very helpful and nice. If you are looking for a high end room, this is not the place for you.”

”Far from Downtown, on the main road (noisy), broken tiles in bathroom, air conditioner loud and did not cool the room much, single-ply toilet paper, no shampoo/conditioner, door lock very difficult to open with actual brass key. Room was clean. Pricepoint was good but not considering the condition. We were disappointed.”

”We brought our dog and they were very welcoming to her. The hotel is very clean and the suite was great- a full fridge, dishwasher, and small electric cooktop. The breakfast was a nice variety and well stocked.”

”The room was clean, however, the smell of the cleaning products was very strong, our oldest was sensitive to it and it gave her a headache. A pool was advertised as an amenity, but it was closed or under maintenance. Their pool should have been up and running since May and it was not functional when we went mid-June. We were very upset about this since its the middle of summer and there were many pictures of the pool. Their ice machine was also out.”

”Beautiful room. The property is very nice. I had to wait quite a bit of time at check-in even though there was a staff member available but working on her computer. The second staff member eventually helped me. The breakfast was disorganized, no serving utensils, etc. but the staff was very nice. Overall, enjoyed the stay.”

”The location was great and breakfast was good, provided the normal staff is on duty to make it and not having to deal with some meth-head rubbish. The staff does the best they can, which is clear. However, the toilet and air conditioner in the room were obviously beyond repair as neither functioned properly even after being attended to. Given what is charged each night, whether or not it’s worth it is truly a question. To whomever is selecting this location, do not accept a room without...
