Pier on the Bay

Charming pier house located right on the bay area water. Relax and enjoy the soothing waves and gorgeous sunsets as you wind down your day. This unique house is very family-friendly and open for all to enjoy. The house is just 30 minutes to San Francisco and 30 minutes to the great Napa Valley wineries! The house is also just 5 minutes to the Vallejo Ferry terminal which can take you directly to San Francisco.

Currently waiting for a refund as the property owner stopped responding once I told him how disgusting it was and I would not let my family stay there. Clearly was not cleaned after a group of parties were there. Toikets, animal attacked garbage piled high outside , bed sheets not changed, hair ties, shower caps, hair, dirty tissues in garbage, no heat except a small portable heater. Difficult to find and definitely not fit to be occupied.

The view was amazing. Had the property been maintained and clean it would have been a great trip. The master bed was broken. The mattress looked like a Petri dish. There were only 4 towels and one wash cloth of which 3 of the four towels had obvious blood stains. The dishes were dirty and had lipstick and smudges on them. There was rotten food in the silverware drawer. There were no knives to use to cut with. The trash hadn’t been taken out in months and there was trash in the benches creating a stench and lots of flies. Additionally, the electricity is faulty constantly going out and the ground wire is not connected making it a hazard to even stay there. When I tried to speak to the owner about the concerns he has been non responsive to both me and VRBO

Thank God for the VRBO Staff and crew. As they helped big time with this awful rental, as this was a nightmare and we didn't stay. It was NOT ready at all, it was extremely cold and the bed was broken, and He wanted us to do the laundry and finish up the clean up WHATTTTT? I didn't rent this place to work on my vacation. Also, the owner of the place just kept on staying sorry but wouldn't do anything else to help us out at all. So we left and had to rent a hotel in which cost me more money and time. Not a good way to start my vacation. Thank God that I got my full refund back from VRBO. I would show pictures but honestly this is just not worth any more of my time. I hope and pray that this owner learns on how to run a business. As I CAN NOT RECOMMED THIS PLACE!!!!

TLDR: Do NOT book this place. This listing needs to be removed. Not sure where to start. We were skeptical to stay here to begin due to mixed reviews but the view in the picture for the price point was difficult to pass up. We wanted to end our trip on a high note, so we booked it. But… first, I was given no check in instructions, so I messaged the host the morning of our arrival. He sent me the instructions. We arrived approximately at 4:30 pm to check in and found a completely trashed house. It was only half an hour past the 4:00 pm check in time, so we messaged the host. He made informed us about a big party with the previous guests left quite a mess, so the cleaning crew needed more trash bags, and that they would be back. We told VRBO about the situation as we sat and watched the sunset until about 6 pm but no one arrived. We then called the host and he said he was “just pulling in” himself to clean the house. We waited another 10 min and he never showed upSo, we left to go eat, and at 6:30, the host called saying he came to clean, and that he would refund us 50%. I didn’t expect much but when we came back the house was still in the same condition. This house is compete trash. It has potential but the host doesn’t seem to care about it. The beds are gross, as well S the furniture, the bedding. The outside area is also completely trashed with old broken furniture. The trash is just piled on in the back, overfilling.

TV remote did not worked in the living room. Volume adjusting did not worked on the master bedroom TV remote. Lots of trash on the yard. No heating in bedrooms. living room A/C had no heating function. The diswasher was full with dirty plates. Towels was still in dryer. Check in time was 4pm but we were not allowed check in till 5pm. Very nice property. Looks was remodeled recently. Well equipped kitchen. Need just some attention (fix the remotes, watch for the cleaning persons)

Laundry was left i the dryer. The home was left without paper towels and toilet paper. The trash was overfull and never picked up and bags were left stacked on the back porch, weeks of trash! We loved the location and the homes atmosphere but the host had to be called because a local took the reserved parking stall while we were at dinner. After several attempts he responded.

The view from the deck was beautiful and the inside had some very nice updates. Beyond that I would not recommend this property. When we reached the house, the cleaning was not completed even though we arrived about 20 minutes after check in was scheduled. The cleaner did apologize and we just waited in our car until they had finished as it had been a very long day of travel. The very first day we had issues with one of the two air conditioners and several of the TV's. We sent a nice email to the host asking about these things and never got a response. In addition, the outside was a mess, from torn cushions on the patio furniture, to broken boards on the chairs, to totally destroyer stools standing alongside the building, to a rusted out grill, as well as a gas firepit that didn't work, and an outside sink full of garbage or the mountain of trash on the back deck, it was totally disappointing besides the view. Lastly there was a serious ant problem in the kitchen which I would assume is being caused by all of the trash outside. The only communication that came from the host on the third day while we were out exploring San Francisco, after not responding to our earlier questions, was to ask if we could take the trash up the long walkway to the parking lot since it was garbage day. This was a very disappointing stay.....with just a little work and investment this could be a wonderful location....but currently it is NOT!!

The property is in a great location, but is on need of maintenance and TLC. There was trash piled up outside on the deck and in a deck box. Ants swarmed the kitchen several times. No latches on the sliding glass doors. The air conditioner in the one bedroom was grinding and banging until the fan blew up. The lock on the gate did not work due to dead batteries.

I read the reviews and I was worried but the house was clean and ready when we arrived. Yes there is a little walk to the house but not much. Parking was a little confusing and we were approached by another resident in the area about parking but not much of a hassle. The house so peaceful and relaxing. The ac in the one bedroom was very loud but we opened the window and it was fine. I would definitely stay again.

At this point he is a crook to me

Disastrous, was told i could check in at 4, when I got there it hadn't been cleaned. Chandler lied to me and said it was because the cleaners went to the laundry mat since the dryer broke. However all the dirty laundry was still piled up. We left and he said he would get the cleaners over their. At 930PM he said they werw done. We finallly got back there at 11PM and the cleaner was still there. He told us he disnt have tome to do laundry so there should be 1 clean towel. He said he would take 50% off, then just stopped responding to all messages.

Double Booked

This unfortunately was a bad experience. We entered the VRBO to find that someone was already staying there. Suitcases and clothing out in each of the bedrooms. Chandler the host was completely non responsive. So my family of 3 with a kid didn’t have a place to stay.

Chandler was wonderful and answered communication quickly. We arrived a little early and we were able to place our bags inside the facility and waited for the cleaners to finish on the Deck. The home is spacious and well-maintained. I would stay here again.

The other reviews are accurate

I began contacting the owner days before our stay due to the other reviews indicating some delays in getting in. I ended up contacting VRBO the morning of and they reached out and the owner promptly sent the instructions. I wasn’t traveling far and didn’t want to arrive “on time” and be stuck waiting for instructions or even cleaning. I figured if the place was in an awful state, I would even be willing to drive back home. Of note: the property is down a lengthyish walkway and I wish I had brought my wagon.We arrived about an hour past check in and found the place in disarray. Trash not taken out, sheets not washed, bed not made. One of us began washing the sheets while the other began unpacking the car. The second bed was made/not untidied. About 3 hours AFTER check-in, the cleaning crew arrived. We were already comfortable and had taken care of it ourselves so we sent her away. There’s a lack of attention and communication between the owner and his clean up crew which is evident from every other review on this listing. If you don’t mind potentially washing your own sheets, it’s a cheap place to stay where you can hear water.
