”Charming motel and nice grounds. Room very basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Food truck had very tasty options. It was nice to grab our supper from the truck along with a couple beers from the bar and hang out on the deck. We will stay here again when back in the area.”

”Skyline Village Inn is a quaint, magical place with a wonderful stepping-back-in-time feeling to a peaceful, slower pace of life. The view from the balcony is gorgeous, and it was the perfect place to spend the full moon. I loved my stay so much that I booked a second night. This enchanting inn has definitely earned a place on my list of places to return to. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains.”

”This is a very old property. The current owners are trying to update everything. I wish I could give it a higher rating because they're trying so hard. The rooms are very dated but the beds were comfortable. They are updating the rooms one at a time The location is great, less than half a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hopefully they can revive this motel. There's a great restaurant down the road in Linville Falls called The Famous Rockhouse. I highly recommend them for breakfast.”

”Customer Service was top-notch! Super kind & pleasant employees were more than happy to give recs of nearby destinations and adventures... all were polite to answer so many of our questions…was neat learning the history of the Inn, too. Building and grounds were so clean and quaint! Rooms were spacious and comfortable… Felt like stepping back into a different time & place; so many great little corners to relax, read, enjoy coffee and/or a drink. So close to great trail heads and fun towns, but...

”They are supposed to be renovating by the winter. Hopefully by then this review will be no longer accurate. It is old and very dated no air-conditioning. They do have ceiling fans. The bathroom and kitchen were clean but the carpets the couch we’re old did have a full-size refrigerator if you’re looking for a place to lay down for the evening and take a shower it’ll get you through the night.”

”Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. ”

”Very old and not well kept. I was afraid to touch anything. I happened to have a black light and after scanning the bathroom I decided to leave. Expedia was very helpful with giving me a refund ”

”We spent a long weekend in June and it was great. The host communicated with us as needed and answered all our questions. Check in was easy and fast. Parking was close. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The views!!!!!! We were a little worried about not having AC, but it was really cool outside at night and there were fans if we needed it. It was a total non-issue. We hope to stay there again. Loved it!”

”CALl IT WHAT IT IS If you are an AT hiker looking for a place to sleep close to the trail, in the dry, this is a good option. The bed was clean, had a refrigerator and ceiling fan, but no coffee pot. The bathroom and shower are communal so be aware there is not a bathroom in each “cabin,” nor can you lock your door from the inside. Thus “resort” is misleading. I am not sure why they chose to include “resort” in naming this place. It is very clearly a nice rustic campground with four hostel...
