This old barn, renovated in 2023, offers an exceptional location in the heart of the mountains. The warm living room opens onto a large bay window with a striking view of the Galibier and the surrounding mountains. In the morning, you can watch from the lounge area the passage of the chamois in the meadow opposite, and the luckiest will follow with binoculars the eagles and griffon vultures nestled on the nearby peaks. The sunrise over the Aiguilles d'Arves will take your breath away as soon as you wake up when you prepare your breakfast. Ski enthusiasts will reach the slopes in 5 minutes and can take their passes in Les Verneys while those who prefer ski or snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing and skating, will leave directly from the chalet to many walks on the nearby paths. The laziest can read or rest by the fire, or enjoy the many board games available. This haven of peace, without wifi or network, ensures a total disconnection and family holidays that allow you to refocus on nature and real social ties. The living space is warm and well equipped, with a kitchen open to a dining room, and a "cathedral" lounge area close to the bay window. Hotel-quality bedding will ensure you a well-deserved rest after these busy days. On the lower floor there is a cloakroom with plenty of storage and cupboards, a separate toilet, a laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ski boot dryer and multiple storage spaces, a double bedroom with 160x200 bed and shower room + sink, a triple bedroom with 140x190 bed and a 90x190 mezzanine bed (forbidden to children under 6 years old) + shower room and sink. On the upper floor, there is a dormitory bedroom equipped with a double bed 140x190 and two single beds 90x190 with velux windows and views of the mountains on either side, and a separate shower room with shower, sink and toilet. The barn is equipped with underfloor heating, towel warmers in the bathrooms, a wood stove in the living space. A small garden chalet adjoining the barn allows skis to be stored. The centre of the resort can be reached by car in 15 minutes. The restaurant La Poutre, a must-see in Valloire is next to the barn, and the Ferme des étroits that can be visited is located in the same hamlet as the chalet.
