• Food and Drinks: If you don't feel like cooking, our favourite restaurant is Ski Food, which serves authentic Italian food and has a very casual atmosphere, only 5 minutes away by car. Pick up some groceries at Sherpa Supermarché Valmeinier 1800, only a 3-minute walk! During your stay, make sure you whet your appetite with some local cheese. For a main course, indulge in a piece of tartiflette or croziflette and finish up with a delicious piece of blueberry pie. Bon appétit!
• Outdoor Activities: The Galibier Thabor ski area, spanning from 1800 m to 2750 m, boasts 160 km of slopes, including 89 slopes categorized into black, red, blue, and green. The area features 29 ski lifts, including gondolas, chairlifts, and ski lifts, and maintains its snow impeccably with over 400 snow machines and daily slope maintenance, with 70% of the area situated above 2000 m. Valmeinier offers quality off-piste options, a snowpark for freestylers, and amenities such as the Slalom stadium, easyparks, Arva park, and more. For Nordic skiing, Valloire, connected via shuttle, offers various loops around the Télégraphe and Galibier passes. Additionally, the resort provides a range of non-skiing activities, including snowshoeing, sled dog adventures, paragliding, and more. Plus, there are fun activities for children, night skiing, and diverse entertainment options, making it a well-rounded destination.
• Places to See: Experience Savoyard nature and heritage in Valmeinier with visits to Ecrins and Vanoise National Parks, the charming Valmeinier 1500 village, Le Moulin aux Grandes Cotes, picturesque lakes, Maurienne and Haute Maurienne valley, mountain passes, the Espace Alu Museum, cheese tastings, local culture, and cuisine.
