A perfect vacation at an amazing houseboat
This place was even better than what the listing advertised! This was my first time staying on a houseboat for "fish camp" experience and this, by far, has raised the bar for future fishing vacays! The dock on the back!!! OMG! I stayed there the entire weekend when my crew went fishing! I could literally stay there another month and not go anywhere! Great communication with the owner and check in process is super simple. For all who look at this review, the Louisiana bayou is a must on your bucket list. Thank you for letting us stay in your home! We are booking it again, in the summer, for our in-laws to come with us next time!

Yearly Fishing Trip
Get Bent Lodge was great, had everything we needed for our weeks stay and the location was perfect. The owner was great and communicated extremely well. If you plan to head to Venice LA I highly recommend staying here, we're definitely coming back!

Louisiana Living
The way this house boat is set up is great! Living room and kitchen set up on first floor and sleeping are upstairs. We enjoyed sitting on the doc looking at the scenery and watching a ton of alligators, even caught and released about 50 blue crab. Had plenty of kitchen utensils to use. We enjoyed a day on a charter boat of deep sea fishing with Pelican Charters. Would stay here again in rhe future.

Needs
Two issues that really bothered us were, 1) only two rolls of TP for 6 people on a three night stay, really? 2) No propane in the grill so unuseable until we had to go have it refilled for $27, these were our only two issues, loved the location, the house but little things like this aren't good.

Sorry about the issues. Should have been more TP in the cabinet in the den. There was a full bottle of propane underneath the tv (and TP as well) in the den. I will refund you the amount of the propane. I wish you would have let me know and I could have made sure you had what you needed..

Great Houseboat and Great Manager
We've stayed at the houseboat before and love its new location - great views of cypress swamp and you can park right out in front for easy loading and unloading. Kevin the manager is very responsive and great to work with. Looking forward to our next stay.

Beds were very comfy…location was perfect for some nighttime fishing off the pier. Probably needed another shower to stay with as many people in our party of 11 Enjoyed our stay and the fishing was pretty decent too!

Clean and cozy!
We had an offshore trip scheduled for the Saturday and at the beginning of the week the captain called and asked if we could go Sunday instead because of weather. I messaged the owner and he was able to shift our stay by a day. Everything was like said! Very comfortable and clean.

Wonderful place! Will stay again!
This place is so nice and comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again. Minor things were brought to the property owners attention and was handled immediately. The kitchen sink had an odor, we found the switch for the garbage disposal and cleared out the disposal. No problems after that!

The Ice Maker was empty when we got there and the laundry machine was full. Please note there is only one shower so anticipate an earlier rise for your fishing trip. Overall experience is positive.

Sorry about the ice. Someone must have come by and hijacked the machine before yall got there. I actually arrived the same day yall left and the machine was full so the machine is definitely working. As far as the bathroom it clearly says in the property description 1.5 bathrooms. Glad yall had a good trip Hope to see yall again!
