Great location - poor management
Start with the good - fabulous location if you want to fish the Venice Area, you can park right in front and don't have to walk down a long dock. Great neighbors own the houseboat next door, very friendly and helpful. The little houseboat was clean, it would have been way, to full for 8+ people, our group of three got crowded in the kitchen. The challenges... the ice machine would not make ice, the electronic backdoor lock would not work (low battery) so we couldn't lock the back door and get on the boat and go. The back door handle was barely held on by an aftermarket screw, that failed and fell off. We placed another screw into it just to make it functional. Better not bring a big boat or you will not be able to park on the houseboat if the neighbor is there. The big challenge is communication, i messaged the management prior to our trip that they did not include a phone number on any of their messages, received no response back. They didn't know where i could park the boat trailer, thankfully the dock guys did tell us about a lot near the houseboat. When i sent a message about the lock situation at check in....it took three days to get to get a response and the response was contact the number on back of the front door. Well, the information sheet on the back of the door, didn't say that...only to text upon departure. I have never had non responsive or poor property management with VRBO before and doesn't reflect well or make me want to rent next year..

Fishing getaway
Great location. GPS leads you to a location a little shy of the actual address. Must follow the map provided. Was perfect for fishing. Could have used some toilet paper, 🤨 better phone service and WiFi.

Amazing House Boat !!
The communication with the host was great. This was a perfect house boat with outside docking for 2 boats that exceeded my expectations. We were comfortably able to call this place a second home. Only negatives, there weren’t enough pots, and baking sheets, and ice machine wasn’t producing ice. If you decide to stay here pack a few kitchen items and pick up ice before at the Dollar General. Other than that, I would 100% stay here again.

You need to make the phone number of the host available. It was impossible to reach anyone by phone
Nice place and we’ll situated but was hard to reach the host when we had a few problems and change of dates. Phone numbers should be provided to reach in the case of problems

Family Vacation with my two daughters and their boyfriends
This was a cozy place. Nice location and A/C will freeze you out. But when it’s 103 heat index. It felt good. I liked being able to back my truck up to the house boat. Made unloading ver easy We will be back. Thanks again

The place didn’t get cleaned before my visit.
The place didn’t get cleaned before my stay from the last guest. The great cleaning lady showed up in 20 min late in the evening and got it cleaned up for us.

The property was like it was described. It provided a place to rest after a long day on the water. Cleanliness was okay, but could have been better. The toilet not very clean. The automatic locks didn’t function, but we were provided with an alternate solution, so it didn’t create a problem. The property owners seemed nice and were interested in our stay.

Green House Boat Stay
What they have on the website is what you get. Unlocking the door at times can be tricky, but I was informed of possible issues. Pros: For the price it is worth it. The beds are comfortable. Overall cleanliness was good. Cons: Cell service is poor in this area, no wifi, satellite TV quit working, cobwebs on walls in bedrooms. We would definitely stay here again

Nice, clean smallish houseboat
I’ve stayed in several places in this Marina. This Is a nice, affordable but small houseboat. It has all the comforts needed for a weekend fishing trip. It’s certainly better than the marina cabins for about the same price. And you can drive up to it so you don’t have to carry your stuff down a long dock. And you can dock a boat on the rear deck. It does now have an icemaker. The bedrooms are compact, so 2 adults per room would be my max here. I’d stay here again.

We finally get to the area . we are tired not in mood to have to look for the house boat I ask someone did they know where this houseboat was they ask what dock is it on what is the name of boat all I know is hb23 no ledgeable numbers on house boat hard to find for someone that has never been to this area. Once we got in it was all great.

Great Fisherman’s Getaway
Had a great time in Venice Marina, deep sea fishing. This property met every need, and was new and clean. Made it enjoyable to come in off the water and have a comfortable place to stay. Highly recommend for smaller groups. Just the right amount of space. Will definitely stay here when returning to the area.

Great place to stay when fishing out of Venice. Conveniently located at the Venice Marina. There were six of us and it was just enough space with all the necessities to make the stay comfortable. It was our first time renting a house boat and we will do it again!

We had a great time during our stay at Venice Marina. Perfect place for 4 people. Had everything we needed. Great location. Loved having parking right in front. Could use a little more deep cleaning like in windowsills and corners and cabinets. But overall no real issues. Thanks.
