”Todella ystävällinen palvelu ja tämä oli melko varmasti siistein hotelli, jossa olen yöpynyt. Puitteet eivät olleet uusimmasta päästä, mutta siisteys pisti silmään. Jaoimme vessan kolmen muun huoneen kanssa. Tästä ei tullut ongelmia, esim. että vessa tai suihku olisi ollut alvariinsa varattu. Vessan pyyhettä vaihdettiin 3 -4 kertaa päivässä ja käsikuivainkin siellä olisi ollut.”

”Really enjoyed our stay at Ashbys. Steve and Mubi were warm, welcoming and helpful and the room and public spaces (lounge / games room, kitchen, bar area) were comfortable and well equipped. It was clear that a lot of thought has been given to making Ashbys a unique place to stay: welcoming, relaxing and fun. A great location too for the bars, seafront and Southsea attractions! Our bathroom window needed a blind - more for the neighbours than anything! - and the bedroom a second bedside table...

”We stayed one night as part of a cycle around the Island. The beds were comfortable, room was warm , ample breakfast and good cycle storage. One shower had very poor pressure and a door that didn’t shut properly. No shampoo and conditioner, just a body gel / shampoo that I would use on hair. Basic and just fine. ”

”Self service so expected some instructions - couldnt get tv to work. Coffee, tea n sugar provided - no milk. Kettle supplied on shelf - no plug nearby. Low light - difficult to read. However good location, warn and clean - also cheap. :)”

”Andreanwas a great hist, met us on arrival and very thourough with everything The rooms and en-suite were immaculate in their cleanliness and style. Breakfast was left to us but everything we needed was there. Very professional host who could not have done more for our stay.”

”A really lovely little place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. Having kitchen facilities to use is a bonus although we didn’t use them. The shower wasn’t great (rain head only) and I really struggled to work it. It would also be great to have a mirror in the bedroom area for getting ready as the only mirror was in the bathroom. ”

”The hotel was exceptional. Location was fantastic - very near to bus stop, walking distance to the beach, a convenience store is nearby, there is a lovely restaurant within walking distance. The hotel itself was absolutely lovely - clean, cosy, comfortable. Just perfect. Wendy & Steve was the best. Would definitely come back. If anything, just one thing to be aware of - you need to up one flight of stairs to get to the bedrooms.”

”Room was a little tired but overall okay. Minor issues like ripped wallpaper etc. My only issue was the fact the latch was slightly damaged on the inside so I had no way to properly lock the door. I had to put the chain on and shove a doorstop under the door, as a solo female traveller this made me a little uncomfortable. Walls are very thin so be aware if you’re a light sleeper. ”Stayed here with 16 members of the family, aged 10 months to over 70. Games room was perfect, very well stocked kitchen , bedrooms were good, in general the property needs a hug, tired in places. The beaches are accessible by only the sure footed, and we’re not suitable to sit on as there was evidence of rock falls.having said that the coastal walks were perfect”

”Lots of toys and games for children and teens. Spacious layout. Lovely feel to the house. Beautiful gardens. Wonderful location so close to one of the very best beaches on the island, Steephill Cove.”

”The Granary is quirky and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. The garden is just wonderful and the real highlight of our stay. Rebecca is a five star host and we can’t recommend her property highly enough. With a car or bicycles, it’s in an ideal location for exploring the island. Without, the buses are frequent, convenient and inexpensive.”
