A Blast from the Past... and Not in a Good Way.
It was a disappointing step back in time, and unfortunately, not in a charming, nostalgic sense. From the moment I walked into the lobby, it was clear that updates haven't been a priority here in decades.
The lobby itself felt dim and unwelcoming that hinted at years of neglect. The furniture, while attempting to look "classic," simply looked worn out and dusty. Check-in was handled by a polite and nice front desk clerk.
Upon entering my room, the sense of dated disarray only deepened. The decor was a jarring mix of styles that had peaked in the 80s. The bathroom was particularly grim. The grout in the shower was discolored and crumbling in places, and a faint mildew smell lingered.
The bed mattress was the most uncomfortable hotel mattresses I've ever encountered. It was a foam monstrosity that actively worked against a good night's sleep.
While the location was convenient, it's hard to overlook the pervasive feeling that this hotel has been left to slowly decay. For anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness, or modern amenities, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. This hotel desperately needs a major renovation and a deep clean to bring it into the current century.
