Great hosts...met us for check in and gave us lots of details about the house and the area. I thought there were restaurants, markets in walking distance but there was not. Luckily we had a car and it was a short drive to get to things. Great if you are looking touring DD area.

everything was good..not crazy about the host prepared dinner .a little overpriced and not freshly prepared. The house was nice the location was great..the hosts were great and were and very accommodating. Would recommend it

We had a very comfortable stay. Georges was quick to respond to our questions. Language barrier was eased with the help of a handheld translator. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the downstairs lounge area. Kitchen well equipped, although we were unable to get the coffee maker to work, but we were able to make coffee using provided French press. All bedrooms are upstairs, as is one full bathroom. The downstairs bathroom has a shower and toilet, but red lighting is not ideal for putting on makeup, etc. Wifi was spotty. Lovely, quiet neighborhood and we fully enjoyed our stay.

I loved the charming garden courtyard entrance. Perfect for wine, cheese, and baguette! There are stairs so travel lite or leave big bags downstairs. Hosts were super communicative and responded promptly! Would book again.

We had a wonderful stay at this historic home in France. The house itself was spacious, full of character, and very comfortable. The owner was prompt in meeting us and incredibly friendly. Although he doesn’t speak English, communication was smooth and easy using translation apps. He even recommended a great place for dinner our first night, which was much appreciated.The next morning, he brought us a beautiful breakfast with fresh breads, jellies, and juice—a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. The property is in a very quiet area, perfect for relaxing, yet only about a 10–20 minute drive to the major sites in the region. With a rental car, getting around was very easy.Overall, we had a truly enjoyable experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Our experience at this house was exceptional. The owners pre-coordinated dinner for our first night, a wonderful seafood paella including a cheese plate, beer and wine and dessert. The house was well furnished even for a large group. Ver-Sur-Mer is centrally located amongst all the Normany D-day sites as well as Honfleur and Etretat.

Fantastic stay in a charming house. Georges is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The house is conveniently situated for easy access to all of the historical sites. The kitchen has everything needed for a short stay. Excellent boulangerie within walking distance as well as bar and small supermarket. We had a great holiday!

Charming home, extremely close to lots of sights in Normandy. You cannot miss the British Memorial that is minutes away. Georges was extremely friendly and helpful. House has everything we needed. Really cutely decorated. Great outdoor space which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend!

In the heart of a beautiful town, a short walk to a wonderful bakery and small grocery with a wide selection including fresh produce. Normandy landing beaches are nearby and great to be able to park in front of gite.

Ver Sur Mer vacation

The home exceeded our expectations, plenty of room inside and a private outdoors area. Great location for visiting historic landmarks and the house itself has plenty of history. Friendly village, Boulanger and cafe within walking distance with Fabulous freshly baked items each day. Parking was also available at no additional cost. The host was welcoming and helpful. I would love to return!

Great Stay at Ver de Mer

We had a very nice stay at the grand gite in Ver de Mer.Our multi generational fa.ily, parents, children and grandchildren were very comfortable with with enough space for everyone. Georges met us on arrival and familiarized us with the property. We arrived later than expected so the local shops were closed. Georges made us reservations at a lovely nearby restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The gite is within distance of all the sites we planned on visiting, Bayeux, the Normany beaches, the American Cemetery, Pont de Hoc, etc.This is a comfortable property in a great location with a gracious and accommodating host.We would recommend this property to anyone visiting this area.

Normandy

This was a great property to stay at. It is located 20 minutes from Bayeux and was easily accessible. The map on VRBO has the address as number 37 if you click on the map but the address is listed as number 17 and that is correct. George offered to prepare us dinner the night we arrived but I waited too long to respond so if you are interested in that reply early. The beds were great, the house was comfortable and the location was good. Would stay there again.

Landing Beaches tour

Great location for touring the landing beaches. Just what we were looking for. The house is located just enough outside the busy areas that we were really able to get the feel of living n the French countryside. Georges meet us at the house and explained everything in fine detail. Parking located right across the road from the house. Well equipped kitchen that we were able to cook breakfast each day before setting out for full days of adventure. According to Georges the church bell ringng can keep folks awake at night. We were so busy through the days we slept soundly through the night, we never heard it. Merci Georges, well done.
