Olisin toivonut vähän isompaa huonetta, kun meitä oli 2 ja olimme 4 yötä. Pyysimme erilliset sängyt ja niiden leveys oli vain 80 cm, suht kapea aikuisille. Huoneen lämpötila ei saavuttanut asettamaamme toivetta, ilmastointi kuitenkin toimi ja ikkunat oystyi avaamaan.

The hotel is clean and safe. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room. Conveniently located by the metro station for easy access to trains. We were able to walk to sites in the historic city center. Plenty of restaurants close to the hotel.

The location is excellent, staff were nice. In hotel price for drinks was way too high and limited. So just avoid that and go to a local spot nearby and there are plenty. While the hotel claims Air Conditioning it is in fact only available during certain seasonal times. We were here late April in hot weather and had to sleep with windows open and there is a LOT of urban dust/dirt in the air.

Overall the location is good and just steps away from the market. I gave 4 stars because it doesn’t have the old Vienna inner city feel of it, but the property shows its age.

Ein mittelmäßiges Hotel in der besten Lage
Das Beste am Hotel ist seine zentrale Lage. Ansonsten entspricht es keineswegs den 4 Sternen, die an der Eingangstür prangen. Die Möbel sind in die Jahre gekommen, der Zimmerservice bringt nur den Müll raus und macht irgendwie die Betten. Das benutzte Hotelgeschirr wird nicht weggeräumt, Kaffee- und Teevorräte (in den Leistungen inbegriffen) nicht nachgefüllt. Das Gleiche gilt für Seife & Co. Bei der Ankunft haben wir im Zimmer eine angebrochene Flasche Mineralwasser vorgefunden.

Property staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a good size. Missing some upkeep if the property: ceilings were peeling from water intrusion. Would be best if they put bags in the trash bins or if they cleaned them thoroughly.

The Hotel is very well located for most of the historic attractions, which are many, around central Vienna. It’s a very friendly hotel with clean comfortable rooms and a really good breakfast selection. There are lots of excellent restaurants and cafes within the hotels vicinity. Freundliches Personal, gute Lage für viele Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Zimmer ist recht lieblos eingerichtet und das Fenster geht zum Liftschacht hinaus - weder Himmel noch sonstige Aussicht ist sichtbar. Deshalb ist das Zimmer auch an einem sonnigen Tag so düster, dass man ganztags das Licht braucht.

Hotel Secession is a nice property, quiet, large room, very conveniently located in central Vienna, walkable to many sites and very close to multiple modes of public transportation. The breakfast is quite expensive but there are many alternative options within the neighborhood.

Great location
Our rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. The location was ideal: within walking distance to most areas we wanted to see, and near many train/bus stops. There was a nice little courtyard where we could enjoy coffee or drinks.

This is a good hotel for price and location as it generally within walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and attractions. The staff is also generally amazing, courteous and helpful, however there were unfortunately a few that also stood out in not the best of ways. The breakfast offered is a hard pass as it unfortunately just isn't worth it. There are plenty of amazing restaurants, cafes, and breakfast options all around the location that can be enjoyed that are worlds better for a fraction of the cost.

As a first time visitor to Vienna, I selected Secession an der Oper because of its location. I wanted to be able to walk to most sites important to a visitor, but also wanted easy access to rapid transit options to reach locations a bit to far to walk. Being steps away from Naschmarket was perfect for me! I went there every morning to get my days started with coffee and a nasch! So many choices! Besides all of the above, the hotel was very clean and well-maintained. Staff were very courteous and helpful. I would stay here again without hesitation.
