Eileen and Anthony were exceptional hosts, offering great ideas for adventures and dining, and generally providing a wonderful and welcoming home for our week away from the Maine winter. When we arrived they took us on a quick tour of our accommodations and made sure we had everything we needed. They had lots of great advice about local things to do, as well as practical things too, like where to pick up groceries (literally one block away from the house). The apartment was perfect for us, with plenty of space and a full kitchen, including coffee maker and blender. The bathroom was clearly recently updated with a new lovely sink and storage, and the owners stocked both bathroom and beach towels- and chairs, snorkel items, and a cooler! The covered deck and rooftop patio were major highlights of the apartment. Truly, we would have been happy to stay and watch the sunset every night from the roof, as it was absolutely gorgeous. As Eileen is a local expert on all things snorkeling, she was an outstanding resource for us. We saw a ton of fancy fish as a result! Also, we wanted to do some surf casting, and Anthony dug up some of his own personal fishing tackle to help us out. We couldn’t have asked for more generous hosts of such perfect accommodations for our week away.
