Kaunis Manor House, 400m2, hyvin yksityinen, myös erittäin hyvällä paikalla retkiä ylös ja alas Costa Verde on noin 120 km päässä Espanjasta ja 20 km päässä Porton. Jos pidät ruokasali vieressä joen Douro Ribeira, 20 minuuttia se, kuinka kauan kestää kun saat hyötyä teillä. Pihalla on 10 x 5m uima-allas, wc, suihku ja suuri katettu oleskelualue, joka on käyttökelpoinen ruuhka-aurinko tuntia, jossa voit nauttia ateriasi ja katsella lasten altaassa. Jos haluat rannan, Praia D'AREIA on vain 2 km tiellä, josta löydät myös pieniä kauppoja, ravintoloita ja supermarketteja. Kaikki mukavuudet, kuten isompia supermarketteja, ravintoloita, putiikkeja jne. Ovat saatavilla 5 km Vila do Conden kaupungissa, mukaan lukien kuuluisa "MARKET" perjantaiaamuna. Perustelujen 10000m2 ovat ihanteellinen ja turvallinen lasten juoksennella. On myös appelsiini, sitruuna, kiivi ja passion puutarhan puiden josta, jollei kausi, voit auttaa itseäsi ja tehdä ihana mehut.

We had 10 wonderful days at this house. It is even more beautiful than in the pictures. A great terrace with lots of opportunities for sports and fun. The landlords are super friendly and helpful.

Wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very attentive hosts, fabulous location and we really appreciated the refreshing pool to dip into, particularly after a days exploring. Everything we needed was to hand and the villa is SO spacious and also cool inside which we appreciated in the heat. Would highly recommend this property.

Really cool house with a big property. A lot of space, privacy and opportunities. The pool is perfect to refresh and the whirpool is a nice spot to relax in the evening. There are a lot of things provided like volleyballs, frisbee, football, .... We were greeted with a delicious of snack and cold drinks, which we enjoyed a lot.All in all we highly recommend this house!A big thank you to Ana and her family!

Family gathering and celebrations

Wonderfully spacious property, plenty of room for everyone. We had a great time making use of all the facilities. The photo’s actually don’t do it justice, it’s much better than you expect. Joao was a great help on our arrival day.

Villa near Porto

The Villa is very spacious, the photos accurately depict the space and you will find all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable, pool, hot tub BBQ and many more. There is a metro station a short walk away too. Great for large groups!

It is an ideal setting for a multi generational group of friends/family. The grounds were beautifully kept, there were plenty of games for the children. The pool was very clean and a good size. Joao was there to meet us on arrival and the port and cake was a lovely touch.

Great long weekend in a beautiful villa

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with all the information we needed, along with a delightful spread of meats, cheeses, and refreshing drinks—such a thoughtful touch. The house itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and instantly made us feel at home.We headed straight to the pool and spent most of our time outdoors, soaking in the beauty of the stunning grounds. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible BBQ on our first night, expertly prepared by Manuel and his fantastic team. They brought great energy, delicious food, and made the evening extra special with a personalized birthday cake for the three birthday boys.Ana was amazing—always easily reachable and extremely helpful. She coordinated the BBQ, arranged our transfers, and was quick to respond to any questions we had.We absolutely loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

Beautiful & well located property

We are a family of 7 adults and a toddler and we all had a great time staying at Vila do Conde. The house was very spacious and the garden was exceptional with lemon, orange and plum trees. The pool was very inviting. The location suited us very well as we could walk round the corner to a cafe for breakfast and also walk to the metro to take the train to Porto. While we were there the weather was cooler than normal but there were still plenty of activities to keep us busy.

Perfect vila and amazing host

This trip was perfect, The villa was clean and as expected with the pictures. Ana did organise for us the airport transfert and push us activities to do. Once at the villa Joao welcome us with fresh beer, fruits, porto and cheese. He also drove us to the grocery store two time. What an amazing hospitality, we're going back to France with a really great esteem for Portugal. Thanks again !

Amazing place

Really lovely house and surroundings! Clean house, pool and well kept garden. Great owner who helped us with transfer to and from the airport and whom had served a really nice welcome course for us, which was really perfect since we arrived late. We rented cars a couple of days and the rest of the time we just took the metro, which was only 10 min away. We was 15 people (between the age 1 and 70) and there was plenty of space for all of us. Thank you Ana!

Family trip

Really enjoyed our family visit to the villa for a week in June. The property was a lovely traditional villa with so much space and facilities indoor and out. With the great weather most days it was the ideal location for a get together and a shared family celebration. The beach and Villa do conde were both within walking distance and with Ubers so easy and cheap to take we could have managed without our own transport. Ana was so helpful with emails and communication prior to our visit and João couldn't have been more welcoming and responsive when we had a small issue and with the first night supplies we were well set up for our visit. Thanks so much for making our big family meet up so successful!

We had a super stay. The Villa is superb and well equipped. The grounds are huge! Our hosts could not have done more for us. The Villa itself is about 20 mins away from Porto. You need a car here. But if you fancy leaving it behind, an Uber costs around €16 each way into Porto. The pool is great and refreshing rather than hot. All the bedrooms are fantastic, all 12 of us were very comfortable. Thank you Joao for being so lovely and engaging with us. The weather cools off a lot in the eve so maybe bring a cardi! Thanks for everything!

Friends and family get away

We visited with friends, as two families of five. We had a broad range of children aged from 2 to 18 and there was plenty of space for us all to stay in comfort. The photos don’t do the pool and grounds justice, it was even better than we had expected! We didn’t hire a car but you do need a vehicle to get around. The metro is excellent and only a ten minute walk away and it’s very easy to get around by taxi with Uber. The beaches are excellent with fantastic surf. Don’t forget your wetsuit as it is the Atlantic! It is a family owned property and the help we received in planning our trip was exceptional. The welcome gifts provided us with a taste of Portugal and were a sign of the warmth of hospitality that we received throughout our trip.

Clean, spacious, attractive villa, with plenty for kids

The villa was clean, spacious and comfortable. It has a beautiful appearance.We were welcomed with a large plate of fruits, cheese and meats on the kitchen table, and a lovely birthday cake in the fridge for me. The hosts also left various drinks, cooking oil and sauces for us to use.The garden was also spacious and attractive, with a badminton net and football goals - bats, ball etc provided.There were plenty of facilities, including a washing & drying room, and a loo near the pool.The pool was large and inviting, though the water was cold. There was outdoor seating, with barbecue table tennis, table football and hot tub(extra charge), all protected from the weather (which was awful except for two days).There are two Metro stations within walking distance, convenient for day travel to Porto.There is a busy local road right outside, but the whole property is protected by a high wall and gate.You really have to drive to get to the beach (Praia de Arvore, 2.5km), shops (Lidl, 3.8km) or restaurants (eg Mezzaluna, 2.9km).The hot water had to be reset at regular intervals, and the radiator heating costs an extra 30 euros per day.

The surroundings of the house were really beautiful with the play area and swimming pool. There was a lot to do. We were received well and kindly. There was a little bit improvement, cooking equipment, especially the pans, were in poor condition. Talon ympäristö oli todella kaunis pelialueineen ja uima-altaineen. Tekemistä riitti todella paljon. Meidät otettiin hyvin ja ystävällisesti vastaan. Parantamisen varaa jäi, ruoanteko välineistö, etenkin pannut olivat ala-arvoisessa kunnossa.

Great family Gathering

We had a wonderful stay at the property. Ana and her family were very accommodating and communication was great! Food and drinks greeted us at the property!! All needs were catered for and the images online do not do the property justice - far better. So spacious and full of amenities/equipment. The garden and pool were just wonderful with fruit trees in the orchard which can be picked if in season. Lovely south facing garden. The table tennis was a great hit too and the smart TV very useful for the evenings. Near to two metro lines. Beach about a 30 minute walk with some small supermarkets along the way. Went into Porto one day and into Povoa de Varzim at the end of the line another day. To see further afield a car would be useful. Thank you Ana

Family vacation

The house met our needs perfectly. Plenty of space, well appointed. The grounds are beautiful. The welcome gifts were a nice touch and the snacks sustained us until dinner.Our family loves mealtime together. After each day of activities, the kids swam while adults prepared dinner. We ate each night on the patio. On our first day after long hours of traveling, Ana Maria set up a caterer to come to the house. Manuel and his team introduced us to some Portuguese favorites. The food exceeded all expectations. It was worth every euro!We did not rent a car (hard to do for 9 people). So we used uber and took the train which worked just fine. House is within walking distance of two stations. Sidewalks are narrow and traffic is fast. To the beach & grocery store was a walk too far so we used Uber.Trip of a lifetime for our family and we cherished every moment.Not related to the house but…. FYI - Porto airport customs was a two hour wait. We connected through Newark and would not do that again either.Ahhhhh but the house was wonderful!

Beautiful property. Phenomenal grounds

11 of us stayed as two families, with kids ranging between 13 and 7. We were so impressed with the sheer size of the property and the grounds. It was so spacious and immaculate. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that you could possibly need. There were so many things to do around the villa, whether it was the pool, table tennis, table football, badminton or playing football, that no-one was ever bored. We ate in the villa most days, but got Ubers into Vila do Conde and Povoa de Varzim when we went to restaurants. We didn’t hire a car because Ubers are so cheap over there. They are half the price of the UK. We had a day trip to Porto via the metro, which is only a 5 minute walk away. We arranged larger food deliveries with Pingo Doce and Continente and for smaller orders, we used Ubereats, which would deliver from the local supermarket. We loved our stay, thank you and we would love to return again.

O Refugio is a tremendous house for a large family holiday. We spent all July this year [2025] relaxing and appreciating all the facilities available to entertain us. The house is so commodious that we didn’t use 2 of the rooms downstairs and the house sleeps up to 15 people. Outside the dining area is covered to protect from the blistering sunshine and in this area are the table tennis table, table football and hot tub . The gardens are huge with Lemon and Oranges trees in fruit and also a pear tree ! The best feature outside is the pool which has shaded areas plus many loungers for sun bathing. Back inside you will find the house is fully equipped for family living with a comprehensive tooled kitchen and entertainment available in the lounge - TV , games, books, jigsaws etc.The house is fully secure with high walls and large gate and is located in non tourist area . The local patisserie is just around the corner , where daily baked breads and cakes are available.They also have Super Bock on draught !! As we drove to Portugal ,we had a car to pop down to Lidl [8 minutes away] , where everything is available including very cheap wine - 5 Litre box for 5 Euros !!The beach is a long walk away [30 minutes] and is OK but we preferred to stay at the house and gardens . The local Metro station is a 10 minutes walk away and it will whisk you to Porto in 20 minutes to see all the sights. Uber taxis are cheap as well ! A great place to stay.

Great Family Holiday 29th July

We absolutely loved our stay 29th July-5th Aug. We were a family of 8 - 5 adults and 3 kids. The Villa had everything you could need. The welcome from Joao was perfect and he even took the blokes to the local shop so we could get our essentials even though our flight had already been delayed. The welcome hamper was awesome and the hosts really do go above and beyond. We had fantastic days in the pool and awesome meals out in the local area and further a field. I would recommend hiring a car if you are considering it. We didn’t have a car and the local village was walkable and the metro was easy to get to but the local roads have narrow footpaths. Hiring a car definitely isn’t essential and we had a fabulous time without one. We used a Uber a couple of times and it was cheap to do. My mum has had a knee replacement so on the odd occasion we ubered instead of walked. We would recommend going to the local bakery (every morning for breakfast! Just around the corner), visit the local village, visit Vila do conde and visit Porto. We ate at some lovely places but our last night we went to Guia in Vila do conde. The meal probably cost the same amount as the rest of the week (food prices are really really reasonable) but it was worth it for the view and great food. The best bit of the whole holiday was definitely chilling by the pool and watching the kids play in the spectacular grounds. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Amazing Villa

4 groups of friends, 15 of us altogether and we all had the best time. Ana and her brother went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. From arranging the airport transfers, to stocking up the fridge for our late arrival, to including a baby gate so our little ones were safe, we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The villa itself is amazing. As others have said, the pictures just don’t do it justice. It’s incredible. We never felt like we were under each others feet as there was so much space. The outdoor space gets the biggest thumbs up though. Pool, ping pong, football table, hot tub, inflatables, they had everything you could think of. The area is very quiet and residential. The metro is within walking distance, the nearest shop is about a 15 minute walk, and the beach is about a 20 minute walk (unless you have 7 kids with you like we did, in which case it’ll take a good 45 minutes including an ice cream stop!) but Uber is available - which we only thought to use on the second to last day - so if it’s hot, we’d advise using one to get back to the villa. It’s really cheap. We also enquired about getting a catering company in one night to cook for us. Ana recommended her friends Armanda and Manuel. They cooked the most amazing Portuguese BBQ for us. We would highly recommended hiring them. Such wonderful people and amazing chefs! Thank you Ana, you are a great host and we will definitely book the villa again!

Amazing villa n Hosts A*****

The villa and gardens are huge, the photos definatly dont do it justice, there is SO much room for everyone. The bedrooms were all a good size, there was a lounge area which we only used once as we spent all our time outside in the seating area, there is a more formal sitting/dining room which we didnt use, we kept the doors closed as was not needed for our party. Kitchen was a good size with dishwasher. The Hosts had left beers, snacks etc in the fridge which was really nice but walking into the kitchen to a lovely Portuguese cake and biscuits plus bottle of wine and fruits bowl was the most amazing gesture and very kind. The Host offered to take us food shopping in his car, which we was grateful for, how nice of him to offer tho :) Ping pong table was the highlight of the evenings with competitions each night!! Swimming pool was used alot but very cold when you first get in, kids didnt feel the cold as much as the adults. We had some cloudy days which didnt help. We wanted a BBQ on the 2nd night and i couldnt get it to work and messaged the Host who said the small gas bottle had probably ran out and said we needed to purchase one, an hour or so later the Host arrived with a new gas bottle, the Host literally goes above and beyond to help. Only downfall was there was nothing walkable except a yummy bakery, we didnt find any restaurants to eat in so used Uber eats alot, McDs was nice and quick! We did get uber taxi to Lidl a few times for shopping. AMAZING break had by all!
