Today it is a small village with 1500 inhabitants, with the 17th century parish church of St. Roch in the center of the village. As it is an agricultural region, the population is mainly involved in viticulture, olive growing and livestock farming and produces olive oil, goat's cheese and other local products. The advantage of Galizana is its peaceful location in the typical Istrian countryside and its proximity to many attractive amenities, which are only a short drive away.
