”Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing.
The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume. ”We first stayed in Nov 24. This time we stayed Apr 26. Previously we were in the Annex, but this time we were in the main building. The room was large and nicely decorated. ”I booked a last-minute night away at The Red Pump Inn in Bashall Eaves, and it completely surpassed my expectations. The pub and accommodation are absolutely charming, with beautiful rooms, perfect location, and wonderful ambiance. However, this 275-year-old establishment had a few surprises up its sleeve! ”Absolutely perfect! Stayed here with my brothers for a birthday gathering and family get together. The rooms are lovely with everything you need, staff are friendly and helpful, food (breakfasts and evening meals) plentiful and tasty. Great value!”

”The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu.
