”We had a lovely meal in the restaurant but unfortunately the stay was less impressive. Having booked a room for 3 it was set up for 2 with just 2 towels, 2 mugs, 2 glasses and 1 tea bag. At breakfast we waited 50 minutes for our cooked breakfast with no apology or explanation. When it finally arrived we asked if we could have some toast with it only to be told that they do not do toast with the English Breakfast! The tea was lukewarm and had to be returned and the 'fresh' orange juice was...

”Lovely rooms. Gorgeous garden. Such an authentic experience staying above a pub. We felt part of the village by the end of our stay! Sam and her husband were incredible hosts and his food was exceptionally good! We’d go out of our way to stay here again.”

Comfortable bed, quiet location, great access to walking trails and not too far into the town. Easy commute to Oxford, either park and ride or bus. Great facilities in the cottage.”
