Chalet't – Walton on the Naze

”We stayed in the family room which was very spacious but set in the 80's. The bed was hard and very old and woke up with backache. The room was clean but the carpet was rough on bare feet from where the carpet had been washed a few times. Breakfast was lovely and arrived quite quickly from when we sat down. They only serve breakfast from 8.30 to 9.00am , so no lie it's.”

”Whilst the room was clean enough, it was very basic. No head board, poor mattress and 1 coat hanger to hang the clothes (on the back of the door) for 2 people staying in a twin room for 2 nights. Again, the bathroom was clean although there was little to no pressure in the shower and the sink tap came off in my hand.”

”I stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and tidy. Although there isn’t any air conditioning, there is a fan. I didn’t miss having air conditioning, as the room didn’t get too hot, even though I was staying on the top floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. ”It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in.”

”The hotel is extremely well situated right on the front and close to the pier. It is currently undergoing some much-needed maintenance, leading to some unwelcome building noise and obstructions. There were a number of issues with our room, including a shower which would not drain properly, and dodgy wifi, leading also to problems with the TV. ”The room was a decent size and good pressure in the shower that is always good. At in the restaurant in the evening that was convenient. Sadly missed my breakfast as it isn’t Served until 9am and was too late for myself as I had to get to work. Parking is limited, but can park on the main road but it is very busy at times.”

The apartment is spacious, very well equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There are two flights of stairs to access the apartment — this wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to bear in mind for guests with mobility considerations. ”Staff pleasant and friendly- gym could do with being a little bigger and with better equipment but David Lloyds is right next door! Air-con need in this current heat but they do put a fan in your room.”

”Michael was great as a host and had terrific communication. The unit is spacious and well laid out. The only issue was the couch. It looked great but was uncomfortable. The propertv is a block away from the entertainment district. Perfect place for a weekend get away. ”
