Haus Strandgut – Relaxation Right Behind the Historic Dike

Haus Strandgut is located directly behind the historic dike and offers a central yet pleasantly quiet setting: The marina, Hooksmeer Lake, and the lively town center are all just a few minutes’ walk away. With approximately 72 m² of living space, the house accommodates up to four people and, thanks to its high-quality amenities, provides the ideal setting for a relaxing North Sea vacation. The open, fully equipped kitchen—complete with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and Senseo—flows seamlessly into the spacious living area, which features a TV, DVD player, and Bluetooth radio, inviting you to enjoy relaxing evenings. From here, you have direct access to one of the two terraces—perfect for sunny days, barbecue evenings, and relaxing moments outdoors.

A private parking space and a lockable shed for bicycles provide additional convenience. Upstairs, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms with insect screens, as well as two modern bathrooms, each with a shower and toilet. A washing machine is also available. For younger guests, there’s a travel crib, a high chair, and practical outlet covers.

The charming town center of Hooksiel invites you to stroll through its picturesque pedestrian zone, with shopping and restaurants, while a large EDEKA supermarket with a bakery at the town entrance offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The beach, located about 3 km away, is equipped with parking and beach chairs, and water skiing at the Hooksiel ski terraces provides plenty of action, while beautiful hiking and biking trails lead from the old harbor to the outer harbor and the beach.

House Rules/Pricing Info:
The climatic health resort of Hooksiel (Zone 1) is subject to a visitor’s tax. Therefore, a visitor’s tax must be paid on site. This tax is based on the number of people, their ages, and the length of stay. Information on the high and low seasons and the corresponding rates can be found on the Wangerland Touristik website.
The following are exempt from the visitor’s tax:
a) Children up to and including age 3.
b) Severely disabled persons whose “degree of disability” (formerly: reduced earning capacity) is 100% according to an official ID card.
c) Severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance (marked with a “B” on the ID card). This means: regardless of the degree of disability (e.g., GdB 80% and designation “B”).
d) Companions of severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependent on constant assistance.
