”The smell of urine was in the room upon arrival. We dropped our stuff and headed out to a concert right away, we were running late. We contacted Expedia when we got back to our room, they said contact the property. Expedia also tried to contact the Motel several times, and no one answered the phone after several attempts. ”Very disappointing experience. My daughter almost slipped into the pool because the railing was loose, creating a serious safety hazard. We brought this to the hotel’s attention, but no refund or compensation was offered.
There was also very limited seating by the pool, the hallways had a strong odor, and the location did not feel safe. Due to these concerns, we chose not to stay and left the property. I would not recommend this hotel.”

”Great place to stay. I expected a lot less. The room was small but the bathroom was roomy. The check in was easy and the woman who checked me in was very friendly and helpful.
The price was a bit high but Saturday in Milford, it’s not herd to understand.
The room was very clean and the property is well kept. The owners take pride in their motel.
Glad I stayed.”

”This was about the 4th or 5th time my husband and I have stayed here. It's a hidden gem. Every single time we go it is such a pleasant experience. ”Second time at the Sussex Motel. I feel like each time I stay is the similar experience you feel when entering a speak easy. The outside looks like a normal rode side Motel, BUT, when you go inside it is lovely! For the price you cannot beat it. Clean and has everything you need and the decor is nice.
